This is a great venue for a show. The staff are friendly, the drinks are good, and the sound is great. I sincerely hope a band I love plays there again soon!

There is a reason why this place is packed on weekends. The food is great, there's tons of adult beverages flowing, and there's a wide variety of alternative dishes using tofu, seitain and more. I had tofu sliders with BBQ sauce and Cole slaw - delicious! The restaurant serves lots of beef and chicken dishes as well as interesting salads,... More

A really great brunch menu. The crab cakes with eggs and hollandaise were wonderful. And the smoked pork with tomatillo and eggs was worth the visit.

The food we had here was excellent. Typical bar menu items. The waitress was attentive. The atmosphere was dark but clean. There is an outside patio and entertainment. We were happy with cold beer and a juicy burger

My band's KOLARS and He's My Brother She's My Sister have played this venue and love this spot. Great sound and cool room. Not huge but big enough to throw a great show. Crowds always tend to be warm and enthusiastic. Also great that the main bar is adjacent but not in the same space. There is a small bar... More

We decided to eat here before the live show. I was pleasantly surprised by how great and original the food was. I had a grilled cheese with provolone, bacon, and raspberry jam. It was awesome. The room in the back is a stage and area for standing. Very full of character...beautiful. We saw 4 live bands (Sleeping Jesus was our... More

Chose Schubas Tavern to meet 16 work friends to attend a play 2 blocks at the Wit Theater. Bar was classic old Chicago with a nice collection of local patrons. Bartender was very nice and professional, and attentive. Dined in the Harmony Grill within Schubas. Dining room small but lended much space for our large group and was very warm.... More

Always wanted to stop in here and glad we did. Had dinner....Food was great especially the Mac and cheese. Good draft beer selection. Server was very friendly and engaging. Neat old location with lots of history. Was an old Schlitz "tied house." Will visit again and check out the music.

One of my favourite spots to see good bands play intimate shows in Chicago. This place is legendary for a very good reason.
