Met friends here while in Chicago. Food was great! The atmosphere and service was second to none. While the place is bustling, each table has private ambiance. One never feels rushed. Like being in Italy, it is about friends and food. Bonus is that it...More

At a first glance, the place seems like an authentic Italian place, with the founder's portrait at the entrance. The decor is cozy with small booths. The service is attentive and the atmosphere is nice. The only problem with this place is the food. Everything...More

Hi Tal, Thank you for taking the time to review us, I’m sorry about your recent experience. At Italian village, we built the restaurant on one philosophy: make good, simple food, serve it in ample portions and served with warm Italian courtesy. Serving ‘mediocre’ food...More

If you don't have an Italian grandma, go here and discover some real old school Italian American fine dining. There's a definite charm to it like the Aragon Ballroom in Uptown Chicago. With that in mind if you're expecting a Kale Caesar Salad keep on...More

We enjoy Italian Village for quality food at mid-level pricing. Great long-standing restaurant, located in an area nearby to Michigan Ave. and many attractions. A go to restaurant when we visit Chicago. Love the lasagna.

My husband had veal and I had ravioli- both were delicious. The waiter knew his wine and spent time chatting with us about their extensive wine selection. Had a lovely evening.

Discovered this place on our first night in Chicago. Spent a bit of time in the lobby working out the styles of the three different restaurants on offer before deciding on the basement restaurant. We were not disappointed. The ambience of the old wine cellar...More
