Stopped in here for dinner before a show, after discovering that my planned restaurant was closed for a private event. The wait to be seated was decent for a Saturday evening, though I got lucky with a seat at the bar. The staff were great. The food came out fast, as well. The salad was good, with huge chunks of... This restaurant is on the lower floor of the Italian Village (there are two other different restaurants on the main and upper floors) decorated with modern but warm decor. It is elegant and seating is quite private because of the way they have arranged the tables. The service was impeccable and friendly. I had a beet salad that was beautifully... More

My wife and I enjoyed a Chicago dinner date from Tucson to specifically to dine at the Italian Village. We were greeted and seated seated promptly like we were old world "paisano"! Outstanding service! the ambiance was intoxicating and the food ridiculously too easy to shovel down.

I had dinner here with my husband and son. We all had pasta--lasagna, spaghetti, and meat ravioli. All were good, but my favorite was the lasagna. It featured a cream sauce along with the meat sauce. We shared tiramisu for dessert. It was rich, creamy, and delicious. We dined upstairs in the Italian Village restaurant, and we enjoyed the decor--murals,... More

This is our favorite place to eat AFTER the opera or symphony! Keep in mind, The Village is the upstairs restaurant. There's also one restaurant on the main floor, and one below. This is Chicago's OLDEST Italian restaurant! Always great service and food, and the atmosphere and decor takes you back to the old country! OPEN LATE which is great... More

Every time we go to Chicago to run in the Shamrock Shuffle or another running or triathlon event, we have our pre-race pasta dinner at Italian Village, in the upstairs level of the restaurant. This place treats us like family, greeting us each year like old friends, and making sure our meal is perfect! They stop and check on us... More

Italian Village is actually three restaurants in one: the ground level offers a fine dining experience, the basement level offers more of a pub vibe, and upstairs offers a nice dining experience in a more relaxed atmosphere. The food is the best authentic Italian I have ever had, and the portions are enormous. This is a popular spot for theatre... More
