We went here as part of my birthday celebration. They have an AMAZING vegetarian selection. Also, home-infused vodka. The food portions are enormous: we ordered the vegetarian platter, and had more than enough to share, feel full, and take leftovers home. Great food, fantastic ambiance. Can't wait to go back again!

A friend of mine took me here for dinner one day. It was a very different and interesting experience for me. The restaurant is nicely decorated. There are many options offered on the menu. My friend is a vegetarian and I understand why he picked the place after seeing the menu. There are so many vegan options available on the... More

In Chicago for a sisters weekend. Went to this restaurant to see what it was like. Interesting atmosphere. Wait staff is direct/blunt communicators. We were not there for a meal; however, we did see meals being served and I spoke with several patrons. Generous portions of food(huge servings). People around me said it was delicious. Many selections of tea. We... More

I grew up around Chicago, and went back there for a family reunion recently and we discovered this lovely, atmospheric restaurant in the heart of the Loop -- only yards from the Art Institute. The atmosphere was warm and traditional -- lots of wood panelling and brass chandeliers -- and the menu was extensive and interesting. I had the roasted... More

Recently had afternoon tea here with my son and we were very impressed. We were able to get a table without a reservation (it was about 3:00 on a Sunday) and were promptly attended to. Our tea trays were loaded with wonderful delicacies with our favorites being the egg salad and the eggplant salad. The scones with cream and strawberry... More

My wife recommended trying this restaurant. At first I was hesitant but I was pleasantly surprised after eating there. The food was excellent, the vodka flights were fantastic and I typically don't like vodka and the napoleon desert while not traditional was superb. For something different, this is a great dining choice. The only minor complaint I would have is... More

I don't think we would have tried this normally but we were with my wife's friend who is from Ukraine. She loved the food, said it was amazing. I didn't know what to order and ended up with a pork dish that was excellent. Huge portions and great wait staff. If in Chicago and looking for something different we highly... More

The food here is to die for and has completely taken me back to my study abroad trip as an undergrad in L'viv. I cannot praise this place enough!

Clearly this place has been around for a while. We stopped in for a late lunch and a vodka flight. The Borscht was excellent and the potato pancakes taste like what Grandma used to make. Not so convinced on the pierogies. Recommend if you are in the neighborhood.
