First, the place is dirty and when you first walk in you are hit with the smell of stale alcohol. Your instinct will tell you to walk away, but ignore them. The food here is very good. Primarily standard bar fare: burgers, sandwiches, fried chicken. They do a terrific job with them. The fried chicken is excellent as are the... More

5 stars for sure. We had a party of 8 (4 kids, ages 10-17) with 4 adults Food was FANTASTIC! Beer is great - awesome selection Staff was excellent. The people here were awesome and provide excellent food for a great price. Life isn't all roses: so if you aren't flexible, it might not be the place for you.. There... More

We went for brunch and had the awesome buffet, which is very cheap for an all you can eat feast. The grits and chicken were amazing, also they have an omelet station and fresh waffles . Very cozy dining area with TV's on the bar for football.

We went there. The food is homestyle cooking; meatloaf, chicken fried steak...the Mac n cheese is the best I've ever had. The drinks are reasonably priced. This immediately became a favorite. A REAL gem!!!

Having been to Chicago 4 times, there are two musts: The free visit to Lincoln Park Zoo and Stanley's! Are you kidding? A $10.00 Make-Your-Own-Bloody-Bar with enough salad sides for a full meal: artichoke hearts, 4 types of peppers, olives, celery, pickled onions, everything one can imagine! We shared the triple grilled cheese sandwich and it was DE-LUXE! We should... More

A friend suggested this place for their Sunday brunch buffet and we are so glad they did! We chose a seat outside since it was a beautiful late August day. This place offers up a ton of yummy choices on the buffet. Fried chicken & waffles and cheddar grits were some of the favorites. We will definitely return the next... More

Stopped in before a concert and was delighted with the heaping pulled pork sandwich on a pretzel bun, topped with jicama slaw. Also enjoyed the tasty chopped salad with buffalo chicken. Corn bread fritters were a nice compliment. Great service from Bailey S. and an overall homey feel!

It was a busy Sunday, plenty of TV's to catch some football. The beer was cold and sandwiches reasonably priced. I had the NY was was lean corn beef and sauerkraut with spicy mustard. Fries are shoestring and plenty of them. Overall very happy with this lunch choice

We visited Stanley's as a family for the second time while in Chicago yesterday. It took a couple of minutes for a host to appear at the host stand, which was slightly annoying but not a huge deal. We were seated right away once a host showed up, and the complimentary cornbread was delicious. There were waters at the table... More
