Maybe they were recovering from the throngs of drunks who may have visited Chicago for St. Patrick's Day, hoping to relive that magical moment from "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." Maybe the staff just can't multi-task. Maybe the franchise holder can't find people who will work at the airport. But whatever the case, this place is "closed for restocking" whenever I... More

I had a really long layover in Midway and as I saw the long lines at the sit down places I decided to try Gold Coast Dogs. I love hot dogs though don't normally have them when flying. The service was quick and efficient. The hot dog was really good. Yes, it is a fast food place in an airport... More

This is the second time I was at Midway and wanted the famous Chicago Dog which I love. The first time the dog was old and looked nothing like the picture, but I figured it was just a one time thing. Here I am again at midway getting a dog and it is worse than before. You Chicago'ens should be... More

Though there are many other good places to eat in the Midway Airport, it is hard not to get my "Chicago Dog" fix here whilst between flights. Their Char dog is excellent, nicely cooked with a good bun and the classic compliment of garnishes. I like that they also have nice cookies.

... is that when I fly, I always book through Midway just to get my hands on one of their Char Grilled Chicago Dogs. Morning, noon or night, I'm eating one of these. And if I'm extra hungry, I add on a Chicago Beef Sandwich. Skip the crappy food court options and eat this hot dog. It will change your... More

Hot dogs and other food items are pre-cooked and left sitting out, and as a result tend to be overcooked and/or dried out. Customer service is poor. Expensive for what it is, but on par with other limited airport food offerings.

Anytime I am in Chicago area, I have to get a Chicago style Italian beef sandwich. There was a line but the service was fast. Great Italian beef sandwich with all the fixings! I will definitely stop back again on way through.

As I had this layover with my 8yr old granddaughter, the food had to be quick yet good enough to last the last leg of the trip we were on. Unfortunately, she wanted a steamed dog and they were out. Obviously, a lot of others wanted the steamed dog too. But they did try to find a dog that didn't... More
