Not value for money if you ask me. I wanted to check out lula cafe after reading about it on pinterest, was hoping for some cakes and coffee after lunch but they dont serve any cakes. I picked the lightest dish I could find and a chai latte. The bowl of granola and yoghurt should be at below $10 price... More

The food was tasty and varied with seafood, veggie, and meat options. I enjoyed every bit of my meal. The service was a little slow, but it was a busy Thursday night at 8:30pm. Good wine options.

Let me say that I try this place only for a late breakfast/lunch. From the outside you don't expect a lot, but the inside is warm and cozy. The personnel is attentive, fast and never too intrusive. They have a very good menu, with great food. I had the Lula '99 turkey sandwich and was really something different from a... More

Went for the vegetarian food and ended up ordering several different items to share. The steak (we gave up on the vegetarian idea) was great as were the mussels and baked feta. We also ordered the cauliflower and turnips and smoked bluefish. Every dish was perfectly cooked. The service was equal to the food. A real nice experience.

We came to the Lula Cafe without a reservation on a busy Saturday, so had to wait 45 minutes for a table but it was worth it. This is clearly a popular local favorite. We started with a selection of house made pastries, flaky and delicious. Then some extremely hearty entrees: chicken and biscuits, turkey sandwich, breakfast burrito and more.... More

Three of us shared several dishes and enjoyed most every one. The baby beets with cheeses were great. The cauliflower with turnips were very good. The parade was good. The white asparagus was too tough. The flank steak was tasty. The shrimp and mussels were OK, but their sauce was too salty. The carrot cake was good - but not... More

Excellent little cafe in a very quaint area. Wait times are high, but in the nicer months you can go hang out in the little park.

Both traditional items and some fun funky stuff on the brunch menu. Got the breakfast burrito and loved it. Fresh, nothing overcooked. You'll wait a while for a table, so consider getting there early. Loved that they broke the New York Times into sections and have it for guests to grab and read. Thoughtful and practical!

Little card but with nice suggestion. I took burrito and it was really delicious. The first place in chicago where eggs k scrambled eggs and omelett are well cook and not overcooked like everywhere in us. In more coffee and mocha are so good

The place was renovated and seems to have lost its old charm. My boyfriend and I began with a White Russian, it tasted like watered down chocolate syrup. The menu was eclectic, had a variety but we thought they could have had some good old fashioned classics. The meal was okay but not worth the price.
