My husband and I were out celebrating our 18 year wedding anniversary & we were in the mood for some good old authentic Italian food! My husband is a French Executive chef & his number one rule is keep it simple & do it right. Coco Pazzo Cafe did just that. We were greeted with a warm friendly hello from... More

Everyone in the neighborhood was sad to see Tre Soldi go away and be replaced by their sister restaurant which used to be at St. Clair and Ontario. However, we didn't need to worry at all. Marco and Jack did an excellent job of merging the two restaurants, merging the menus and we were very pleased with our meal and... More

One of our favorite things about Coco Pazzo Cafe is the atmosphere. The entire restaurant is covered with Modiglianiesque portraits of Italian life. There is a large table of antipasti where the waiters build you a feast to start your meal. The food is exceptionally fresh and well prepared. The bartenders are great and mix a mean cocktail. Lots of... More

This very nice restaurant .has been at this location for many years and may be moving due to loosing their lease.. Great service and location. We love their Linguini Vongole (baby clams) on a wine wine sauce, the best one in the city. Will miss the Modigialis on the walls too.

We have eaten here over the years and have always had a great meal. The ambience with the Modigliani wall coverings are predictably a great experience. Reasonably priced Italian restaurant lost their lease and will be moving Great meal and service. My only complaint is a $30 corkage fee which is way high for Chicago

I had lunch with my colleague at the cozy and intimate Coco Pazzo Cafe. I liked the atmosphere, from one side is casual, from another side is charming. The tables are very close to each other, which is not good, but the overall environment is nice. The restaurant have murals around which give a better sense of a cozy atmosphere.... More

Had a late lunch and the food was absolutely delicious! The special for the day was pappardelle with a meat sauce that was rich and very flavorful. Panini sandwich was excellent and served with freshly made crispy chips. The only minor disappointment was the brushetta - bread was soggy and the tomato topping uninspiring.

I took the advice of the desk clerk at my hotel and walked here for dinner. I'm so glad that I did! The menu looked good, but the specials were unique and tasty. I was too full to try a dessert, but the selections were tempting. Can't wait to come back sometime!

We dined the other evening at the charming, cozy, intimate Coco Pazzo Cafe. The atmosphere, though casual, is quant and charming. Though table are relatively close, we felt we had an intimate dinner at a table along the back wall, - murals around the restaurant help to promote a cozy, atmosphere. We started with the Polpo, the most tender Grilled... More

Went for dinner with my wife. Started with the roasted beet salad. No roasted beets - just pickled beets at the bottom of the plate. Wife's Caesar salad was good. Had the pappardel pasta with wild boar ragu. Pasta was overcooked and mushy and the ragu was very thin and watery. Waiter never came by after taking order and servers... More

Staying in Streeterville

Neighbourhood Profile
Streeterville
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
