I went to Everest in December for a holiday dinner, and the experience was so outstanding, my husband and I went back for an early Valentine's Day celebration! Even before my first bite, I was impressed by both the art collection and views of the twinkling city. If you want to experience fine French Alsatian dining without a trip to... More

My husband and I researched romantic restaurants in Chicago and found Everest which appeared great from what we read. Unfortunately our experience was the opposite! We arrived on time and they told us it would be a few minutes for our table, then proceeded to place us in a back empty room. We were told someone would be by shortly... More

Service was impeccable, food was superb. We had a great table with a view of the skyline. Lovely time. It was worth every penny.

We went for an early seating for the Valentines Day tasting. The food is truly outstanding and the sunset view is extraordinary. However as the restaurant got busy, service seemed to deteriorate. My wife waited a good 15 minutes for a second glass of wine, and despite notation of a chocolate allergy during reservations and confirmed when we were seated,... More

My recent visit to Everest confirmed that it continues to live up to its name as it celebrates its 30th anniversary. On my list it is in the top three in the city. Everything I ordered for dinner was exceptional. Beginning with the "preludes" (including traditional and fish gougeres), through dessert, the dining experience was remarkable in every way. The... My wife and I came with 4 other friends for the 30th anniversary evening. Chef Joho and the staff exceeded our expectations. The food was excellent and the view was inspiring. We enjoyed the entire evening and would recommend to any foodie.

The service was impeccable, the food delicious and decadent. The view, however, rather disappointing. We had a table by the window and looked out at the traffic on the Dan Ryan and the United Center all night. Also, although the service was wonderful, I felt like my partner and I kept getting interrupted. Finally, dinner was rather expensive but we... More

My first visit to Everest was some years ago, however it was a business dinner, with some intense discussion. My memories of that visit were of excellent food, and great, but almost invisible service – I never even noticed the view, just a few yards from our table. My second visit was unfortunately solo, as my wife had another dinner... More

We were in Chicago to visit museums and hear an opera at the Lyric theater. Dinner at the Everest was a high point (pun?) of our three days. The setting is sophisticated and subdued, not at all overlooking a long drop down. We had enjoyed cocktails with a friend before so we were a little out of sync with the... More
