Great spot before a show for some light fare. Beautiful windows let you feel like a real Chicago-ian...staff was nice and efficient. The restaurant isn't cheap...but at that location, not expected. The menu also does not have a lot of choices for the fickle...so I would look at the web site to make sure there is something for everyone! The... More

I dined at Atwood as a table of 5 on a Friday night. We ordered quite a bit of the menu (cheese plate, meat plate, lamb meatballs, sliders, poutine, eggs, chicken thighs) and all was very tasty. For the mains we tried the; meatloaf, NY strip, and duck leg, and again all were very good. Overall the restaurant is good,... More

The Atwood sits on the corner of Washington and State Streets. We went there on a Saturday night for some small plates and were not disappointed. The restaurant space offers a comfortable and relaxed environment. Large windows allow you to people watch if you want. The staff is attentive and helpful. We ordered several small plates to share: bacon burger... More

THANK-YOU!!! I rarely eat breakfast at home as I am not a breakfast person, but when I travel I eat breakfast. It is tiring, and tedious most days unless I can find a place that realizes not everyone wants eggs, bacon, pancakes... Atwood is that place. Great breakfast menu that actually interested me, but also burger, sandwich, and salad options... More

We had breakfast here. The menu has inventive options; the restaurant is full of natural light and very stylish. The food was very good but pretty pricey. In the afternoon the place looked energetic and full of young professionals.

My wife and I have eaten at the Atwood Cafe many times over the years, but our most recent visit was the first since new ownership took over. We are happy to report that the change in ownership has maintained the high level of quality that we have always experienced in the past. The menu offers seasonal variety so you... More

Very interesting selection of food and drinks! I had the sliders and an apple ale beer! They were both delicious! Wait staff was great and the service was quick!

My wife and visited the restaurant for a special night dinner. We had our reservation through opentable. We reached the restaurant on time and were seated immediately. The ambiance was good and the decor was good. The high ceiling in the restaurant added a good space. We ordered sweet potato soup, monkey bread and vegetable risotto. We liked our dishes.The... When this restaurant was in the Burnham Hotel its decoration was opulent and its atmosphere inviting. Now that the Burnham has become the Alise and the Atwood totally redecorted it has lost everything that made it a pleasant place to dine. It has all the charm of a White Castle, though the youthful staff try hard to please. Considering the... More

The restaurant is situated beneath the Alise hotel and therefore open to guests as well as the public. It's a very modern space. The service was very good complete with cheery staff that is the standard in the USA. I was staying in the hotel so had breakfast here a few times. Unfortunately I didn't find the breakfasts that tasty... More
