Lots of options for breakfast - we particularly enjoy the egg dishes with their yummy potatoes. Great atmosphere (especially if you like roosters). Lots of space for any sized group.

My husband and I decided to visit Wishbone for breakfast before leaving town. I ordered the chicken and waffles with a side of grits. My husband ordered eggs, a mixture of beef, onions, peppers and a biscuit. We definitely weren't disappointed! Everything was delicious and very good quantity of food.

Six of us: four adults, two kids recently had brunch and were well pleased. They took special care with the kids. Pancakes and waffles with fruit and WHIPPED CREAM! We had county benedicts: two poached eggs on biscuit with country gravy, Chizoro Burrito (big enough for two to share, jambalaya omlet. All very good. Caution: a bloody mary with bacon:... More

It's important for anyone hearing about Chicago's Wishbone Restaurant to know something: The restaurant on Lincoln Avenue has different ownership vs. the one in the West Loop on Washington. If you'd like to experience the original (and still reigning champ), still owned/operated by the legendary Chef Joel Nickson... head downtown to the West Loop.

We had never come to Wishbone for dinner and we thought that we would try it. I can tell you that we did. The Wishbone on Lincoln is a combination of Southern comfort food from North Carolina and Louisiana to Piedmont & soul cooking. It is a casual Southern-style restaurant. The only thing that is really missing is any kind... More

I am excited that Wishbone has started serving dinners again. I am impressed to find 4 or 5 fish dishes on the menu that are broiled or pan fried, without a lot of breading and deep frying ! Most entrees come with 2 or 3 sides. I love their sauteed spinach, and mac & cheese sides. Very often on weekends they... More

We came here with a friend who lives in the neighborhood. Brunch was excellent. The portions were sized appropriately, but I was glad to have leftovers so I could enjoy it more later. The service was prompt, and the choices on the menu for sides were varied. I'd come back.

The food was mediocre at best. The service was slower than usual and there was only 4 tables occupied. The waiter was very nice but, he was the only one working. I gotta say Wishbone is just not what it use to be.

Stopped in for a lunch. The burger and hoppin jack was tasty. But the service was very slow. We did enjoy the atmosphere and decor.
