This was a small place I wanted to try because of the reviews. I had stuffed cabbage with tomato sauce, mashed potatoes and a side of Polish sausage. They were all good but the potatoes were the boxes type. Not a bad place for a quick bite on a budget in the city.

Whether you know pierogi's or not, this place is a great find. Quick and easy to order. Multiple variations. Inexpensive and good quality. First time for our group and we got an excellent experience into the world of Polish pierogi's. Sweet cream was our favorite. Many others to choose from. Do the 3 and 3 split to try different ones... Growing up in Chicago with Polish friends, I learned to love pierogi, but now living in Wisconsin, it's rare to find them. Most of my experience over the last twenty years has been funerals and weddings when I had to go back to the Chicago area. A couple of weeks ago we met old friends and walked around the loop.... This is a small, hole-in-the-wal place that is not much to look at.. but those are often the hidden gems. The pierogi were great, especially the meat ones. The stuffed cabbage was decent but not as good as my mother-in-law's. Friendly service!

Small place under the L in the Loop. Clean with friendly staff. The menu is limited to 5 or 6 different pierogi's that are ordered in 3's, stuffed cabbage and a smoked sausage plate. We had the cabbage and meat pierogi's and the sausage plate. The pierogi's were boiled not fried but good. I prefer fresh polish but the smoked... More

I found PH on trip advisor and was in the area and decided to give it a try. When I first walked by and saw the store front I was turned off. I decided to find a different location, but after looking at the other restaurants on the street they weren't that highly reviewed so I turn around and decided... More

Small simple place. Reminds me of something you might see in Poland. Choose your flavors in multiples of three: I had three mushroom (my gave), three sweet cheese, and three potato and cheese. Smother in onions and bacon bits (I did). Grab a cold drink from the fridge (I got Diet Pepsi). Under the L. In the shadows of broad... More

I have only had the frozen pierogis that I've fixed at home, so this was an adventure. We stopped at the new location on N. Wells St. before a musical. I liked the dumplings and shared an order of polish sausage, mashed potatoes, and sauerkraut. I have never had kraut that was soft and mushy. The food was quickly assembled... More

It was worth the walk to this place and "Heaven" is an apt name for it. Even though the counter staff was clearly not Polish, there's no doubt that cio cia and babcia are in the kitchen. The pierogis are absolutely delicious and the selection is impressive.
