Visited the restaurant with colleagues for a weekday lunch. It is located inside a jewelry store. They had good seating space for a sit-down lunch. I ordered chicken kabab with rice and hummus. The food was fresh and very tasty. Service was quick.

My friend found this place on "trip advisor" I think. It was in the back of a jewelry mart and you could hardly find a seat. We figured that was a good sign. We tried the falafel and the grape leaves and both were delicious. Seems to be a hangout for locals at lunchtime - a good sign. I would... More

Hole-in-the-wall cafe, behind jewelry shops, and worth looking for. Diverse Mediterranean menu. I got a felafel sandwich. Quite good, although I think Pita Inn in Evanston is even better. But Oasis is a little oasis downtown.

My husband and 2 kids and I freaked out about how great their food is. You will also not find such a unique atmosphere anywhere. It was an unexpected highlight of our trip!

Enter this cafe through a jewelry store! Not at all fancy but good, healthy food at a bargain price. I had the daily lunch special and there was so much cous cous and vegetables, I could not eat it all.

The eggplant sandwich was a win; grape leaves came on a large bed of tabouli; baba ganoush wasnt oily at all; each meal comes with plenty of pita bred. It's totally off the wall walking through several jewelry vendors to get to this eatery, but well worth the weirdness of it all. Locals dine here regularly, many corporate people on... More

We found this hidden gem using the "near me" search when visiting the Art Institute of Chicago. Tucked back inside a jewelry store this cafe is a delicious option for a quick lunch. Looked for folding sign on street to find it... I was looking up and almost walked right by. The chicken kabob sandwich, mixed plate lunch and baklava... More

I love hidden places, and this one definitely qualifies! Seeking lunch after a fantastic trip to the Cultural Institute, we turned off a busy street into this quiet, laid back café (watch for the sign as it's easy to miss). Tasty falafels. Lots of vegetarian options. Exactly the break we needed.

Oasis Cafe is located in the middle of Chicago downtown. It's a hidden gem as it is located inside of the Jewellers mall on wabash street. Order shawarma sandwich or kabobs. All food is made fresh and served hot in a plate with humus, rice and beans. This place is busy during lunch so get their early to beat the... More

Yes, from the outside, this place looks a bit like dive. Mainly for its odd location - it's in the back of a jewelry store on Jewelers Row in the Loop. So I took a long time to finally go here despite all of the good reviews. I was so pleasantly surprised. The falafel is some of the best I've... More
