Someone already entitled their review ‘hidden gem’ which Oasis absolutely is. I actually just got back from the Middle East where I enjoyed some really great and very authentic falafel and shawarma and the Mediterranean food at Oasis in the middle of Chicago’s Loop is...More

This is my go-to Middle Eastern place in the central Loop. The food, particularly their Wabash Special -- and most of their daily specials -- are a terrific value, relatively healthy, and a good deal of food. The food comes out fast, hot, and tasty....More

I saw their sign in the sidewalk but it took me a bit of looking around to find them as I couldn’t imagine an Arabic Cafe to be located in a jewelry store! They have a few wooden tables and chairs and just a counter...More

What a surprise to find a small cafe with Moroccan food made fresh to order in downtown Chicago. Very close to the Palmer House is where our guide suggested this place. Locals come here often for soups, sandwiches and the daily special that are all...More

Visited the restaurant with colleagues for a weekday lunch. It is located inside a jewelry store. They had good seating space for a sit-down lunch. I ordered chicken kabab with rice and hummus. The food was fresh and very tasty. Service was quick.

My friend found this place on "trip advisor" I think. It was in the back of a jewelry mart and you could hardly find a seat. We figured that was a good sign. We tried the falafel and the grape leaves and both were delicious....More

Hole-in-the-wall cafe, behind jewelry shops, and worth looking for. Diverse Mediterranean menu. I got a felafel sandwich. Quite good, although I think Pita Inn in Evanston is even better. But Oasis is a little oasis downtown.

My husband and 2 kids and I freaked out about how great their food is. You will also not find such a unique atmosphere anywhere. It was an unexpected highlight of our trip!

Enter this cafe through a jewelry store! Not at all fancy but good, healthy food at a bargain price. I had the daily lunch special and there was so much cous cous and vegetables, I could not eat it all.

The eggplant sandwich was a win; grape leaves came on a large bed of tabouli; baba ganoush wasnt oily at all; each meal comes with plenty of pita bred. It's totally off the wall walking through several jewelry vendors to get to this eatery, but...More
