We came to Trattoria Trullo for an Italian dinner. We found that Trattoria Trullo has been closed for some time. It has been replaced by an Argentinian restaurant. The website is no longer functional.

Sorry for all there problems. This was one of the better Italian restaurants in the area. The place looks a museum now. It has a large "for lease" sign in the window, with all of the table cloths and place settings in place.

I have visited this location a couple times because I believe everything deserves a second chance, but again I was let down. The main course food dishes I have ordered have pretty bland and the sauces have been pretty watery for the dishes I have ordered and the service is just okay. We had to remind the waiter to bring... I've always said that you can judge a great Italian restaurant by how good the bread and oil are. Trattoria Trullo served us two amazing breads with delectable oil. I had the zucchini wrapped halibut, and my husband had Pappardelle All' Argosta with a delicate, creamy garlic sauce, which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had the Trullo salad which was light... More

Last Saturday, I used my Groupon with my family at Trullo. The atmosphere is lovely and very family oriented. The food is divine and had all characteristics of Southern Italian cousine. I suggest Fillet, for meat eaters along with arugula or spinach salad. Tiramisu is home made and delicious. They have accomodated my daughter' special request even they don't have... More

We ate at Trattoria Trullo recently with another couple who had lived in the area long ago. While we would have loved to eat outside, it was raining, so we had a table indoors. The atmosphere was nice and somewhat quiet, and it was easy to hold a conversation throughout the meal. The service was excellent. Marion was our server,... More

This place is a step above most local Chicago places because the pasta rocks! It does. The wine list is extensive with an emphasis on Puglian wines, as it should be. The pasta dishes we tried were outstanding, both made with homemade pasta. Wonderful sauces. Great service. Very reasonable prices and a very nice location on Lincoln Square. ZB

Been going to this place for several years for decent Italian. Recent dinner there was very disappointing and the prices have increased. Octopus in the seafood salad was tough. Eggplant parmesan was terrible - tasted like it was just defrosted, heated and served. Pizza had far too much liquid on the top and was tasteless. There are many better Italian... More

Maybe I was there on an off night. My arugula salad did not include the shaved parmesan mentioned in the menu description and the dressing consisted of a few drops of balsamic vinegar. My Tartufo Fave Risotto was bland (I did not taste the truffle paste at all) and suffered from the unforgiveable sin of being overcooked. Risotto is supposed... More

I've lived in the Lincoln Square neighborhood for more than 10 years. I've eaten at most every restaurant from Lawrence to Montrose. Everything is decent, but not very exciting. However, I was asked to dine with friends here for the first time and was incredibly surprised. Food was outstanding and prices were decent for the quality. My only complaint was... More
