We were referred to this restaurant and hoped to find good quality, tasty Italian food. That wasn't the case. The pasta was mediocre; we ate a small portion of the pizza which was oily.

My wife and I were in Chicago for business and I had the evening free but was not sure where to go. We were in the mood for Italian food and asked the concierge at our hotel for a recommendation. He was a Chicago local and Italian by chance and told us about Piccolo Sogno. He made it clear that... More

I started the meal with the minestrone soup and could not talk more highly about it. I asked the waiter for the recipe, it was that good. Gave a couple of spoonfuls to my wife who also fell in love with the balance of flavors. My main meal was the branzino which was also perfectly prepared and she had the... More

I had high expectations for Piccolo Sogno considering that its sister restaurant in River North was the best Italian that I had in the city. Unfortunately, that restaurant was revamped (although its new iteration is also quite good). I found the food at Piccolo Sogno to be very good. The service was also quite good. I just wasn't as wowed... More

Easily among the top Italian restaurants in the city. I've eaten here many times, and the quality of the food and cooking remains very high. I always feel like I am dining in Italy. To start, the focaccia dipped in olive oil is addictive. Everything I ate at my last visit was delicious. The roast duck was one of the... More

My husband and I really liked this place. Warm, cozy, authentic Italian, with just enough fast paced verve, speckled with hustle and bustle. It was pleasantly entertaining. The wait staff are very efficient and knowledgeable. Great salads and wine. The food was very tasty, we both ordered pasta, perfectly cooked. I had the special with octopus and calimari...loved the sauce. My... More

Excellent Italian and wonderful service. Had dinner here and was impressed by the food quality and taste. Started with the Minestrone, very well done in the traditional style. Then moved on to the pasta special - a hollow spaghetti with a pork cheek bolognese. Wow! Pasta was clearly freshly made and the bolognese was incredible. We finished off the meal... More

The friendliness of the entire staff was only exceeded by the delicious food and wine. The pasta was divine. I especially enjoyed my Sausage and white beans. Topped it off with Vin Santo.
