Was out for business this week and ate here and had what was a phenomenal meal end to end. Great sommelier found a really excellent bottle of wine that I didn't know. We tried a couple different appetizers and I had the pasta with wild boar. Honestly the pasta was as good as being in Italy and I am not... More

My Chicago residents adult children look for new places to eat all the time. Fridays is their special day to meet after each gets off for the weekend. The atmosphere is very nice and lots of hustle and bustle around you. The kitchen in full view of where we sat, allowed to watch staff that looked like they enjoy what... More

We visited last week. Unbeknownst to me it was Chicagos restaurant week. I decided to order from the tasting menu. From start to finish it was an excellent meal. The salad was perfectly dressed. The wild boar ragu pasta was outstanding. My mothers ravioli was the best I've ever had. The wine list was great too, exceptional service.

We took the last early time from open table and rushed over. Well worth it. We dined during restaurant week but decided to order off the menu. We had the short ribs off the regular menu and veal scallopini off the special menu. Both were great but the short ribs were fabulous. The service was great even when they got... More

We were referred to this restaurant and hoped to find good quality, tasty Italian food. That wasn't the case. The pasta was mediocre; we ate a small portion of the pizza which was oily.

My wife and I were in Chicago for business and I had the evening free but was not sure where to go. We were in the mood for Italian food and asked the concierge at our hotel for a recommendation. He was a Chicago local and Italian by chance and told us about Piccolo Sogno. He made it clear that... More

I started the meal with the minestrone soup and could not talk more highly about it. I asked the waiter for the recipe, it was that good. Gave a couple of spoonfuls to my wife who also fell in love with the balance of flavors. My main meal was the branzino which was also perfectly prepared and she had the... More

I had high expectations for Piccolo Sogno considering that its sister restaurant in River North was the best Italian that I had in the city. Unfortunately, that restaurant was revamped (although its new iteration is also quite good). I found the food at Piccolo Sogno to be very good. The service was also quite good. I just wasn't as wowed... More
