Food was great and service impeccable! Eclectic decor inside - old but new! Could not be any closer to the Theater for Hamilton!

It's hard to give such a low review but everything we ate was pretty bad. The prime rib was over cooked, dry and fatty (and we even sent back one that looked like they heated up something leftover from last night), the lobster bisque was definitely not fresh tasting, Caesar was full of romaine ribs and pasta was good but... If I were to break down the ratings: 5 for the steak (we all had the filet, it was 1 of best I've ever had), 3 for the sides (all were dissappointing in terms of taste, even the mashed potatoes), 5 for the service (they were on their game, attentive, personable, but not overbearing, and great pacing), 2 for the... From captains and maitre d' attired in tuxedos to classic walnut paneling, this is the epitome of a traditional upscale steakhouse. Unfortunately, the grilled salmon portion for the sale enter was unusually small. Service was excellent; prices a bit high. Doubt this place was on Orion Welles lips--however it's roots were in that era.

In Chicago for business, my office associates and I needed a place to eat. The concierge at JW Marriott recommend the Rosebud. It was fantastic. The price was high but the food was fantastic. No higher than a Ruth Chris or the like there of. The service was fantastic and they had wonderful wine specials. What a great place for... More

I was with the colleagues and I was the only one with a problem - so I am being fair. The service was fantastic, but my steak became a joke at the table as I was asked if I was going to beat it into submission or if it was going to beat me. I ordered a ribeye, so I... More

Rosebud Prime, located at 1 South Dearborn Street in the South Loop, is as much about steak as the original Rosebud on Taylor Street is about spaghetti. But you've got to try chef Andrew Sikkelerus' new appetizer, the Aranchini Mac 'n Cheese (three balls for $10), that earned first prize in competition with 47 Chicago restaurants in the third annual... We recently dined at Rosebud Prime on a busy, weeknight evening. The food was delicious. The beet salad was big enough to share. We also had a filet mignon, cooked to perfection and delicious. Steaks come a la carte, so you have to order sides separately. We ordered the Brussels sprouts which have bacon and a cheese sauce, which was... More

Wish I could give Rosebud Prime a better rating but just can't bring myself to do it. When you are charging the high end prices you charge you best deliver the product. Thank the bovine god in the pasture for delivering a GREAT STEAK....did I say it was a great steak ? Well it was a great steak... (sirloin strip).... More
