This place is a hit or miss depending on which day you go. They are not that welcoming on the phone when calling in an order, most times they do not even say hello and always seem distracted. The sauce is a bit peppery versus spicy with just a little tang to it.The chicken wings are a bit small for... More

Some friends were in town and wanted some good BBQ, so we went to Honey 1 on east 43rd street, as they have moved from their western ave location. We ordered Brisket sandwiches and 2 half slabs of ribs. The brisket was great but I was a little disappointed when I saw them heat it up in a microwave. The... More

Had a taste for bar-b-que and we all know everyone cook no matter what they say, lol. Was in the area and stopped here. I ordered the tip and link combo and I must say I was very impressed. If you don't know where you are going you may miss this location and parking is scarce. But that didn't deter... More

746 E. 43rd Street. New location small store front with ATM inside. Cash and Carry out only. I ordered the Small Tip and Link Combo, with Sauce on the side. So I can see fat and taste the season of the meat. It comes with Fries on the bottom, 2 slices of White Bread on top. My order was fatty,... More

This restaurant offers the best barbeque in the area. With chicken to ribs it was simply delicious and at a good price. Definitely worth the visit.

I was about to head out to Smoque for a rib fix, when this spot popped up on my Google map as much closer to Lincoln Park, so I tried it. I am thrilled! The dry-rub barbeque ribs and hot links are great. This is a true neighborhood joint. The sit down area is nothing special, and you place your... More

Chicago doesn't rank with Memphis or Kansas City or St. Louis or Austin as one of country's leading purveyors of ribs and barbecue. Or should it? While Chicago prides itself on steaks, pizza and hot dogs, it is becoming quite clear to food critics that barbecue restaurants are emerging as another popular stop for foodies who eat everything but the... This a carnivore's delight - the only vegetables are fries and a very small serve of coleslaw all the rest is meat meat and more meat. We split a whole slab of the ribs between 2 of us and walked away full, contented and sticky on the fingers and lips from the yummy sauce. This is anything but fine dining... More
