A group of ten of us met there today at 12.30pm to celebrate my son’s birthday being impressed with both the building & location. We ordered our lunches by 1pm but didn’t receive the first persons order until after 2pm with another thirty minutes wait even after approaching staff four times in total about the unbelievably slow service until the last person in our group received their order. The place was busy but by no means full. The food for most of us was outstanding so no complaints there.

Arrangements were in place for a recent lunch well before I caught up with TA reviews for this eatery. Hmmm ... not overly encouraging was my best take. Anyways we arrived for Sunday lunch to find a great venue. The views from the balcony across onto straw coloured hills was different but appealing. The room filled quite quickly. Not all had read TA then? Lunch was uncomplicated. Lets have a glass and a chat, and another glass (or 2). Yes, as the room filled, I've probably had much better service but I've always made allowances when a venue is busy, and this became so. I couldn't object about our service other than to observe that glasses and plates did accumulate on the table? For starters we ordered a dip plate which was adequate without being remarkable and a serve of arancini which were great. For mains I had the beer battered flathead which was served on a salad with chips. The portion had two fillets and was delicious. I would have preferred more salad and less chips but the chips were crunchy which I prefer. My partner ordered the fried haloumi salad (entree size) which she enjoyed. Our other party ordered a red curry pumpkin pizza. Whilst we were happy enough with the taste, the presentation left a little to be desired as the excess of pumpkin puree and yoghurt bled into one mess (there is no other word). Unfortunately the base was thick and "bready" and might have been undercooked. Coffee completed our afternoon. The company and the view made our afternoon enjoyable. I would have liked to provide a higher score but the pizza just didn't allow. Our experience appears far better than others but pub dining is a very competitive market in the Hills.

We've only been a couple of times for lunch, so can't comment about dinner, but have enjoyed both occasions. No complaints about the food or service from our perspective and prices were about the going rate for trendy pub fare. We were impressed enough after taking interstate visitors in November, to return with other interstate visitors in January. We'd happily go back there again.

Such a beautiful location, stunning view, wonderful staff and delicious food. My partner and I chose to go here to celebrate our anniversary because we loved the location. Drinks were delicious and once the food arrived it very tasty but unfortunately my partners burger was cold. We hate to complain but we had to because we were looking forward to this meal for a long time! The manager was so apologetic and friendly and quick to offer us a new one right away, and when the lovely young waitress who had excellent customer service the entire time brought the fresh (and steaming hot) burger out, she was so kind and told us it was taken off the bill! Highly recommend this plave for their amazing customer service and beautiful location and food.

Coming all the way from semaphore, was a easy drive. Found the place very simply. Ordered bread at $3 and waited about 40 mins for it to be served only to find you are given 1 slice of bread soaked in warm oil and a small bowl of bland garlic butter. Still Waiting for our meals to come out. OMG! Just bought a gin and tonic and a cider..$27! That is ridiculous. Where do they set these prices!! Being told it’s because they are South Australian gins and ciders that why they are expensive…. Definite a good reason not to support local then! Location and scenery is lovely Food is finally coming out… 50 mins…. More to come…… Well…… first steak came out, over cooked and dry. Inconsistant meal sizes. Meal returned. Other comments made by the people at the table about over cooked and dry fish. Second steak came out and totally under cooked. The meat couldn’t be cut with knives. The meat was raw. Again returned along with another person from out table as they were raw also. In there defence we were not charged for the meal and we were offered a complimentary drink. Not sure if it was worth the drive here.

We arrived just after 1.00 pm today (9th March). We ordered about 1.30pm and didn’t get our meals until nearly 3.00pm. Only one of the 4 meals was edible. The chicken burger was cold as were the chips. It was like the meal had been sitting in the pass for a while. The Charterie board looked ok but then the plastic was left on some of the meats. When we mentioned to the staff about this they took the board away and then told us it was a “synthetic skin” and not plastic. We had to insist the item be removed from the bill. The fish of the day came out and the batter was dark brown and obviously overcooked so the fish was dry. None of the staff looked happy and there were no smiles on any of their faces. We are visiting from Sydney and my cousin was very embarrassed about taking us there. Will never go back and would not recommend this place.

Well what can I say, we ordered our food waited 45 mins and had food arrive. Only for the manager to take them away to take to another table. Joke of a management very disappointed. 5 minutes wait and the food arrived, same as what we had taken away and wasn’t worth the wait. Sort your management system out guys this was a real joke.

Booked initially for 6 and added 2 more to the group which was accepted. On arrival only table of 6 set and could not accommodate the booking for 8, so had to sit outside. Told there was a heater at the table but it had no gas bottle attached. Food arrived at different times and some had finished before others meals arrived. Overall poor service by senior staff. Had 3 meals from specials menu which were small and sub standard, especially for high end cost. Basic burgers and schnitzel were good to be fair. Asked to go inside for desert ( as it was getting cold outside) but was told no room available. However there was plenty of room!, so moved to a sunnier spot but still outside. Over priced, poor food and poor service. Younger staff tried hard to please , let down by more Senoir staff. Won’t return.

What a wonderful spot in the Adelaide hills! Despite all the challenges 2020 has brought these guys were absolutely amazing for our large group lunch on Sunday. The set menu was fantastic and every single one of our 16 guests raves about their meal. All came out at the same time and hot, despite no pre-ordering. The gnocchi was particularly delicious. Lots of options for various dietary requirements. The setting is gorgeous and super cosy for winter, though I imagine spring and autumn would be particularly spectacular. Staff were friendly and accomodating. Look forward to returning and enjoying the gin bar to the fullest.

Last night , we had tea with our son and his girlfriend for his Birthday. Unfortunately, the meal was disappointing, despite it been a beautiful warm venue. One meal ,a chicken schnitzel was burnt and dry that cost $24 . The Chicken Parmy was similar and virtually no sauce just grilled cheese and that was $28. The meals came with chips and a small serve of tasteless coleslaw. I have never complained about a meal before, but it really was terrible and ridiculously expensive for what was served . I was very embarrassed that this was our son's Birthday tea. Julie Krause.

Perfect setting in terms of view, ambience, quality of food & service personnel. But speed of food service could be improved. The restaurant was only 60% full, but we waited 30 - 35 mins for our mains.

Partner delivers fresh produce to this restaurant, and he noticed kitchen was spotlessly clean, so we tried it with the family for lunch. Great decision. All the dishes we had were fantatstic. It's rare to get all three courses right, and these folk delivered. Small set menu, but all dishes done extremely well. Great wine list too. Children looked after well.

The set 2 course menu for lunch proved to be the tastiest and best presented food I have tasted in recent times. Our table of six all had glowing reports of their choices. The venue was warm and inviting, the outlook onto the stream, daffodils and sheep grazing in the misty showers was beautiful. Service was professional but friendly and all in all a very pleasant outing.

Sunday lunch arrival on time for bkg. Seated given water &menus . It was a half hour before our drink and food order was taken. Also 10 minutes after the order was taken the drinks had to be changed. We were going to do 3 courses each but as we waited a half hour allready and it was obvious they were not coping we ordered a steak sandwich to share. It was one of the mains we were going to have . It sounded nice on the menu and we saw some go past our table. 1 hour and 50 minutes after our orders taken still NO food. We paid for our drinks and left , got some takeaways on way home. Definitely not going back on a weekend. View and Hotel looks nice .

Yet again the Inglewood delivered 🙌🏻. I believe it’s important to support our local businesses and keep small family businesses alive. One of our most favourite places to visit is the Inglewood Inn. A short drive into the Adelaide Hills from Tea Tree Gully it’s closer than you think. We have been here many times over the years and have always been greeted with fabulous friendly service. We chose to share a few dishes last time we ate. The most Outstanding was the fresh Oysters, marinated Chicken wings and a mixed salad. All was of the up most freshness and presented very well. The use of local produce is extensive as is the wine and beer/gin list that will not disappoint.! The historic aspects of the building have been well maintained, given the buildings age it is in beautiful condition. Such a quaint place to visit in every season, winter is especially lovely to sit By the fire place with a local Paracombe Red. Looking forward to visiting again very soon.
