Very relaxed environment and good food. Do not believe a word of the grumpy folk below, the “teens” and polite helpful and enthusiastic. The old lady supervising them even had lunch with us.

Very overpriced and run by kids. It’s a lovely setting but not at all friendly and it seemed that it was for locals and friends only. Food was very expensive, small portions and undercooked. Had to wait 10 more minutes for my food to be...More

Have visited the Ox on many occasions for about 10 years. Generally the food is very good and good value. Today for a 'special' occasion we lunched in the Garden Room, with the french doors open and a cool breeze keeping us cool. Had 'nibbles'...More

Came here for a birthday lunch having not been for years. The staff were very friendly although service a little slow. However, it was extremely hot so understandable. The fact they were so friendly and helpful made up for it. What let the food down...More
