If you come from somewhere down south, you'd feel like this is what Marie Callendar's must have started like. Great family run business who will give you a free meal on your birthday. Good food & pie & service. Closed Sunday to take care of their family and their staff and serve God. How refreshing!

3 different kinds of quiche to savor. Good size portions with a piece of fruit and corn bread or muffin. Always served hot.

I took my daughter to Idaho for her 18th birthday. We didn't have anything planned for our 4 days so we just drove around Coeur d'Alene and North to see the sights. We enjoyed Sand Point so much, we went there 2x from the Coeur d'Alene area. Both times we were there, we stopped at this great little restaurant. We... More

It's very rustic and they play poppin' music. The chicken pot pie is really good but it comes out hot, so be careful. Our waitress was nice but not really on top of filling up water. The pies were pretty average. Nice place to stop

We have driven from Coeur d'Alene to Sandpoint several times and always stop at Pandhandler Pies. This is a site down family style restaurant...not a tourist type restaurant. We have enjoyed breakfast and lunch but never dinner. This trip we had a wonderful skillet breakfast. They have something for everyone on the menu. On previous trips we have enjoyed the... More

I have been here a few times. Food is always consistently good. I prefer breakfast or lunch here. And did I mention the pies? Delicious and many different flavors to choose from.

We found the food here to be surprisingly good in general. Waitress was fairly abrupt and marginally helpful, perhaps overloaded with the volume of diners present. It's kind of a challenge to acquire seats and for this reason we think we won't often venture in.

A must for big breakfasts and coffee. Big portions and selection. Don't forget the free WiFi. Great decor and atmosphere.

We stopped by for dinner and it was warm and comfy inside and not crowded at all. The food was good and plentiful - we ended up taking leftovers home. My sisters had pie and liked the chocolate-peanut butter one but didn't care for the rhubarb.

This is truly one of Sandpoints best kept secrets. Some reviews relayed that Panhandler Pies may not be "touristy" enough but if you're looking for a great, down home like mama made it meal, go here. I have never had a problem with the service and everyone has always been friendly. The pie is amazing and the food is always... More
