I don’t like spicy food or pizza. My daughter persuaded me to visit this restaurant on a cold November evening. There was a heater in the outside area so that was a very good start.
I ordered ravioli as I love the tinned stuff but this was nothing like it l, just delicious, different and non spicy with parsnip sauce. Yum!
My daughter ordered pizza to share and I wish I had ordered that as it was so tasty with that lovely wood fired flavour. Definitely into wood fired pizza now.
My husband ordered beef skewers and they were also very tasty.
In fact the whole experience was very pleasant on a cold November evening.
I did find the music a little loud for my liking but I would recommend this restaurant for a lovely authentic Italian experience.

Delicious antipasto platters, pasta and wood-fire pizza - what more could you ask for other than Prosecco and red wine. Staff looked after our group of 7 wonderfully. Quality food and service. The place was packed out, but this did not cause any delays or impacts to service and attention. This is our 5th visit and we have left happy every time.

This was definitely a busy restaurant and no wonder - the food were delicious. Their pizzas are amongst the best I have had and the calamari fritti was simply superb. The Brodetto Di Pesce was something different and unique. The nice Italian wines were reasonably priced. Unfortunately my Bistecca (steak) was a bit tough but the rest of the food made up for this. Definitely a "come back again" restaurant for me.

Great authentic food, however the service needs to improve. Our waiter took our order wrong for an entree, two drinks and a dessert, along with the extremely slow service this was not impressive. The food however (when it finally arrived) was pretty good, the ravioli was a small serve, but delicious and the gnocchi ragu quite salty, but everything else was superb. The Pappagallo garlic bread was a winner and the Frittelle a nice way to finish the meal. Was very surprised that a simple thing like coffee was very poor, everyone complained about how bitter the espresso was, you'd expect a nice coffee from an authentic Italian place. I was told the squid ink pasta with crab was a standout but the Capricciosa Pizza was an absolute star, well done. Great value with a meal for 5 coming in at $260.00
Clearly improvements are needed, the service is letting down some very good food.

I’m tempted to rate it lower. My friend and I ate lunch there on Friday. She ordered pasta and I ordered a pizza. Our meals came out at different times. When I asked the manager why they came out at different times he coldly advised the dishes come from different parts of the kitchen. Lol. Where do I start with that one. I’m not going to bother explaining why I think that answer is completely unacceptable-if you can’t understand it then go eat lunch there. Pizza lacked flavour. So we go to pay, and I ask to split the bill. No split bill he says in the least friendly manner possible. Honestly, how to make customers feel like they are not welcome.

As soon as I walked in the place the staff were so serious and not very welcoming I felt uncomfortable. Need to lighten up a smile goes a long way. Ordered picante pizza takeaway. The pizza was good, hot however burnt the whole way around which was disappointing I had to cut out tear off all the burnt bits.
Hope the service improves then I will consider having a meal.

Papagallo is one of the restaurants of the gold Mile in Leederville. The flavour is delicious; when you eat the Pizza in Papagallo, you feel you are in Italy, eating the delightful Pizza. This restaurant reminds me of the movie Eat, Pray and Love when Julia Roberts eats the delicious Pizza in Sicilia, Italy—highly recommended.

Visited here with friends for the first time.
I enjoy a good wood fired pizza so was very interested in the quality.
WOW very very good pizza. I went for my favourite Diavola and devoured the whole thing. Top notch crust and flavour.
My partner had the Vongole which she really enjoyed.
The desserts were excellent with the panna cotta and gelato.
Really good coffee also.
Service was great especially on a busy Saturday lunch.
Well Done

As a professional in Gastronomy, that have worked all around Europe in 5 strars hotels, I can give my humble opinion that this restaurant keep an authentic test about Italian gastronomy.
I got fall in love with something just simple as a Garlic Bread and a real pizza, not like the mierda in other places (Pizza Suprema) but maybe the most important thing for me was the service, our waiter Giorgia (gio as I could understand ), was lovely and always with a happy face that could catch me for a moments, maybe only surpassable for his Panna Cotta, the best in a long time that I have tried it.
Thanks for the experience

Had lunch today, had to wait 45 mins for bruschetta, not good enough.
customers came in way after us and got their food way before us, food was okay but nothing outstanding. I think the owner should spend more time running the restaurant instead of sucking up to all his mates.

Food was good, not amazing but good. But put it this way have spent longer in a MacDonalds restaurant. Sooo rushed, we were literally there for about 35 minutes. I was looking forward to desert, but because they brought everything out so quickly, was too full. It was like they were trying to get you out as soon as you sat down! Also sitting outside was not very pleasant, would I go back, probably not as there are too many other Italian restaurants to try.

Amazing restaurant!!
We just spent a week at the Warwick and we ate at Pappagallo’s our first night there and after trying a couple of the other restaurants, we ended up booking dinner there for our last 3 nights because we loved the food that much! Between all of us we tried many of the pastas, and pizzas, and it was all delicious!
All of the staff looked after my husband and my 2 boys. Nothing was ever too much of a fuss! We will be back ☺️

Arrived early and were seated promptly. The menu was and read deliciously and had much variety as did the wine/drinks list. We settled for a number of entrees and a main to share with a nice Pinot from down the River way, my partner went for the calamari and I the muscles with the bruschetta and they were simple yet tasty and filling. The ravines the main and try as we did we couldn’t finish but was just as good and nicely cooked. The service, ambience completed and great evening with a promise to return

Wow! I generally avoid Italian restaurants because I’ve had a couple of bad experiences. This experience has changed my mind. It is the best, tastiest Italian food I have ever tasted. From now on I’m going to be in Italian food fan, and hope that I can find food of this quality in other places.

If you are in a group, be prepared to have someone bankroll bill payment if paying by card. Splitting the bill 50:50 for 2 couples is beyond ther capability.
Great food and wine experience spoiled by an arrogant, bad billing experience.
Pappagallo - get with the program!
