Excellent service and the most delicious food. Real Italian style food. Plentiful menu. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We ordered chilli mussels takeaway first orders of the afternoon The order seemed to have been sitting waiting when we arrived to pickup and was extremely salty without enough chilli flavour For a restaurant listed as one of the best chilli mussels in Perth they...were very disappointingMore
I don’t like spicy food or pizza. My daughter persuaded me to visit this restaurant on a cold November evening. There was a heater in the outside area so that was a very good start. I ordered ravioli as I love the tinned stuff but...this was nothing like it l, just delicious, different and non spicy with parsnip sauce. Yum! My daughter ordered pizza to share and I wish I had ordered that as it was so tasty with that lovely wood fired flavour. Definitely into wood fired pizza now. My husband ordered beef skewers and they were also very tasty. In fact the whole experience was very pleasant on a cold November evening. I did find the music a little loud for my liking but I would recommend this restaurant for a lovely authentic Italian experience.More
Wow! I generally avoid Italian restaurants because I’ve had a couple of bad experiences. This experience has changed my mind. It is the best, tastiest Italian food I have ever tasted. From now on I’m going to be in Italian food fan, and hope that...I can find food of this quality in other places.More
I’m tempted to rate it lower. My friend and I ate lunch there on Friday. She ordered pasta and I ordered a pizza. Our meals came out at different times. When I asked the manager why they came out at different times he coldly advised...the dishes come from different parts of the kitchen. Lol. Where do I start with that one. I’m not going to bother explaining why I think that answer is completely unacceptable-if you can’t understand it then go eat lunch there. Pizza lacked flavour. So we go to pay, and I ask to split the bill. No split bill he says in the least friendly manner possible. Honestly, how to make customers feel like they are not welcome.More
If you are in a group, be prepared to have someone bankroll bill payment if paying by card. Splitting the bill 50:50 for 2 couples is beyond ther capability. Great food and wine experience spoiled by an arrogant, bad billing experience. Pappagallo - get with...the program!More
Always busy. Always super tasty food. Knowledgeable staff. Order taken promptly and food arrived within about 15 mins. Usually have food envy here as I watch other meals being taken to other tables. Sometimes can feel a little rushed. Constant stream of ppl picking up...orders. Pays to book.More
Food was delicious and priced very reasonably! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Got the Gnocchi which was huge but so yummy.
A good casual atmosphere and prompt service. Loved the mosaic wall as it took me back to Sicily! The pasta although I don’t believe freshly made in-house was tasty and a large serve, and the pizza was exceptional…and believe me we know our Italian pizzas!
Papagallo is one of the restaurants of the gold Mile in Leederville. The flavour is delicious; when you eat the Pizza in Papagallo, you feel you are in Italy, eating the delightful Pizza. This restaurant reminds me of the movie Eat, Pray and Love when Julia Roberts eats...the delicious Pizza in Sicilia, Italy—highly recommended.More
Visited here with friends for the first time. I enjoy a good wood fired pizza so was very interested in the quality. WOW very very good pizza. I went for my favourite Diavola and devoured the whole thing. Top notch crust and flavour. My partner...had the Vongole which she really enjoyed. The desserts were excellent with the panna cotta and gelato. Really good coffee also. Service was great especially on a busy Saturday lunch. Well DoneMore
We were a party off ten and had a most enjoyable lunch. From the pasta to the fish and chicken it was all very tasty. I am not a lover of pizza but the one my brother selected was sensational. Service was good although a...bottle of red was spilt on my friend and yes he did receive an apology but nothing else, no offer to pay for dry cleaning or a discount on the bill. Maybe being a bit petty as everything else was great.More
As soon as I walked in the place the staff were so serious and not very welcoming I felt uncomfortable. Need to lighten up a smile goes a long way. Ordered picante pizza takeaway. The pizza was good, hot however burnt the whole way around...which was disappointing I had to cut out tear off all the burnt bits. Hope the service improves then I will consider having a meal.More
THE MANAGER/OWNER IS BAT S*#T CRAZY!!!! HE PUT HIS BARE HANDS INTO OUR SPAGHETTI DISH AND SCOOPED UP THE PASTA. WE THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO THROW IT AT US!!! YOU LITERALLY CANNOT MAKE THIS STORY UP. I am so shook at the experience that...we had at pappagallos tonight. I've been in Melbourne for the 3 years so was super excited to come back and eat at this place again. Unfortunately this was actually the dining experience from hell. When we were seated, they asked us how many people were dining with us. We said 7 people all up and the manager said "great you have less than 10 people which means you can order off the a la carte menu". The customer service from the waitstaff was close to none. Waited about 20 minutes before i managed to get anyones attention to take our drink order. before the last person at the table even got to order their drink the wiatress walked off. i had to walk up to her and ask to add on the last drink as well as order entrees. she told me she would come back to our table to take our entree order. She didn't however, the manager actually came to take our order. We ordered entree and mains and the manager made a snarky comment about me going up to the waitress asking to order entrees instead of waiting for order at the table. I would have loved to have ordered at the table but the waitress was never to be found. Once our mains had come excpet for 2 dishes which was th gluten free pasta. We waited an extra 15 minutes and the meals still hadn't arrived. i went up to the waitress and manager and asked where our food was and the waitress quickly bought out 1 out of the 2 pasta dishes, The manager then proceeded to YELL at me and told me off - saying that it's my fault the food is slow because we ordered a la carte instead of the set menu. He then ordered me to go back to my seat and wait and he stormed off to the kitchen. A minute later he came back and started yelling at me again about how the reason why my food didnt come was because i ordered a la carte and in the lounge dining room they prefer if we order of the set menu - this is fine except NO ONE TOLD US THIS!!! He then startd saying how i cant expect the food to be good beause he is serving 200 people in the restaurant tonight (Not sure how that is my fault or my problem) and then continued to yell excuses at me. he said the waitress delivered 1 of the 2 dishes to the wrong table in the main dining room which is why we only had 1 meal sent to us. My friend who had received the first gluten free pasta dish mentioned to him that the pasta they bought isn't hot, it's warm. He snatched the dish off the table and walked off. He came back 30 seconds later and yelled at us again saying the food isnt cold, its still warm. And we said yeah, its luke warm, not hot which is how food is meant to be. He then said the bowl was sitting on the pass for 10 mins but its warm so its still edible. He then SCOOPED UP THE PASTA OUT OF THE BOWL WITH HIS BARE HANDS AND SAID "SEE LOOK ITS WARM" and kept shoving it back in our faces. I have NEVER seen someone lose their s*#tlike that - it was as if he was having a mental breakdown in front of me. I was absolutely speechless. He then had the nerve to ask my friend if she wanted a new one then. As if we were the ones being unreasonable. Why would we want a dish back once you have put your hands through our meal???? We then got our new pasta dishes which wsa delicious, however unfortunately the behavour of the manager was absolutely disguisting and had ruined our birthday dinner. He took the 2 pasta dishes off the bill, but to be honest he should have taken off a lot more than that to compensate for his behaviour. Our bill was still close to $400. It took everything i had in me to not walk out of the restaurant. ABSOLUTELY HEINOUS. And the worst part was he didn't even apologise for his behaviour. If i could give this review a 0 star then i would.More
Have had dinner here three times, is very busy and restaurant not big. Service is excellent and food is delicious. That make great pizzas and do takeaway.
