I went to Ria with friends last night and really enjoyed the food. Our entrees of pepper calamari and chicken satay were nice, though only half what we ordered arrived without a reminder. The mains of Kleo chicken (a yellow style boneless curry) and Malay Slow Cooked Beef were absolutely delicious, with accompaniments of yellow rice and roti. They had... More

I have tried really hard to like this place, but the service is just so lacking. On previous occasions we have been told we only have the table for a specific amount of time, which is so bizarre given their service slows the whole thing down. Last time we were told we had an hour and a half for a... More

We had a lovely meal at the Ria Malay Kitchen on the weekend. The staff were very friendly and the service was great. We ordered our dishes to share and we were extremely happy with all of our choices. The prawn, duck and curry dishes were my favourites. Desserts and the cocktails were pretty good too. Being Mothers Day the... More

Have eaten here about 3 times and it never disappoints. A nice fusion between Asian and Western with plenty of choices. And the beers and wines are reasonably priced too. Tell them how hot you like it as some of the meals can be a bit fiery.

went for lunch on Easter Sunday. There were only 6 patrons so lacked atmosphere. My wife goes there often of an evening and says it's good but too noisey. The food was good with differing flavours. Prices are a bit steep for me. Beer and wine prices are way over the top and far too expensive. Not rushing back.

A very well themed place to drink/eat. Large variety of foods & drinks. Very helpful & friendly staff! U can either chose a table or sit at the bar, just call out to one of the waitresses & u'll be taken care of in a jiffy. Dingy but well equipped! Try their ethnic dishes, bit spicy but vey well toned!... More

My wife and me are really disappointed with this restaurant. The food has been served cold and if you are going to order a sizzling beef in a claypot all you expect it's hot food but....wasn't like that ! We have ordered pepper squid as well served cold and no taste at all. The wine it come in a glass... More

Dear Sgana U We are sorry that we have let you down. All our spirits and wines are measured to the standard volume, which is 150ml for a glass of standard wine. We will look into our glasswares which might have caused confusion in some guests. We have passed your feedback to our kitchen team and will make improvements to... More

Came by for lunch and had the laksa special. Good flavour was the only saving grace but otherwise it tasted microwaved and lukewarm as well. How do I know? Here are the clues: - inconsistent patches of heat through out the bowl. A few spoons of soup from the bottom of the bowl were warm, spoons from the top of... More

Good and varied menu. Very expensive wine, $13 for 120ml serve. Food was not up to price standard (braised duck very tough, should not have been served), but we did receive discount for bad duck.

True to its word, Ria Malay Kitchen is home-style Malay cooking. Embracing all the cultural influences that have been added to the Malay melting pot over the years, the menu is a tantalizing fusion of flavours from Malaysia, India, China and even Portugal. In fact, the vindaloo is a Portuguese recipe - more aromatic than the Indian version, with less chilli - and like the Portuguese baked fish, bizarrely, you won't find it in Portuguese restaurants.

Our food is only made using the best local ingredients which are sourced by our team of chefs as every ingredient is considered special. Our food is as a Malaysian mother would cook using nothing processed and only the best available fresh produce.

Our name 'RIA', loosely translates to happy, jolly or bright which is at the heart of our philosophy. We aim to deliver the best possible eating experience in a happy and bright atmosphere without compromising the integrity of our home style food. Our team are carefully chosen to reflect our philosophy and these guys are here to help you have a great meal and enjoy the RIA experience.
