First time to eat here. Enjoyed the food very much. Wide range of dishes available. Service was outstanding.

Somewhat pricey but the food is excellent! The ahi tuna is very fine. The prime rib also was perfect. Great place to unwind after a day afield
We were there for lunch on a rainy Thursday in October. Would like to try it on a warm day. There appears to be outdoor seating and you're right above the Clearwater River. What a beautiful setting. After seeing some of the reviews, we must have hit them on a good day. Our waitress was very friendly and on her... More
We ate here twice while staying in the adjacent hotel. I understand that the hotel and restaurant have the same ownership. I got salads on both occasions, and both salads were very good: crisp, dry greens with interesting garnishes. My spouse also got a steak salad on one occasion and gave it high marks; he also liked his chicken Caesar.... More
This place is the closest thing Orofino has to 'fine dining'. I've eaten here 5 times now and sadly it's consistently below average. Twice, my steak has been very tough, and the other dishes have been ok but nothing to write home about. Service is hit or miss. When its on, its on - but its a crap shoot. Twice... More
Had dinner here one year ago and were thrilled. But not this time. The service was poor, waitress not polite and not serviceminded. And the shrimp bayou - which was one of the reasons for returning - was not tasty like last year. So my review goes from 5 to 3 stars.
Owned by the same owners of The Ponderosa in Orofino and the same quality food. Nothing creative just out of the box from their food supplier and pricey. The service in the bar area was just plain sad. The waitress was unpleasant and obviously did not want to be there. We were here for a lunch and a dinner and... More
Friends of mine and I were traveling cross-country on motorcycles. We got delayed due to me running out of gas and booked the hotel next door. We were so grateful to be able to easily walk to the restaurant. Since the evening was still warm and they had fantastic seating overlooking the river, we chose a table outside. Our waitress... More
Our waitress made great dry gin and vodka martinis! She was knowledgable, efficient and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our prime rib (medium) and the pistachio crusted halibut along with an excellent, fresh garden salad and baked potato. Will diffently dine here again when in the area.
We had dinner here after a ride down the Lolo Pass. It was right next to our hotel, so we could walk to it along the river. We sat out on the porch by the river, which was a nice experience. Food is good, but not outstanding. The one exception was the huckleberry ice cream pie, which was great! Our... More
