There was a time when locals could come to the Blue Plate and be assured of getting a seat and enjoying a wonderful breakfast. Sadly, the word got out and now it is often hard to find a table, even on weekdays. The wait usually won't exceed 30-minutes, but it is well worth the wait. Wide variety of home cooking... More

This is a basic residential breakfast (and perhaps lunch?) venue. The breakfast ham is excellent. All of the breakfast fare we have tried has been good.

Their hours are minimal on Sundays but we love to come here before going skiing, snowboarding, and/or after church or on the weekends. We have entertained for family and business at this restaurant. Double check the hours before you go they do have limited hours as well as a few minute wait but the food is worth it.

This is were the locals eat so be sure your in no rush. We arrived with a waiting line but the staff was very efficient at clearing tables and seating new customers. It was worth the wait for the meal.

We visited the Blue Plate for Breakfast. When we arrived it was full and we had to wait for about 10 minutes. By the time we were seated there was a line out to the parking lot. The wait was well worth it. I ordered the Omlet which was massive and filled with Ham, Bacon, Sausage and 4 eggs and... More

I've been here 2 times in the past month. The halibut is delicious. Fried Chicken was a little greasy and I think it needs a side dish. Macaroni and cheese is awesome! We tried the octopus/bean appetizer. It was good but I don't think I would order it again. WE tried the salad with a fried egg and frisee. I... More

This is the real thing , an authentic Idaho country restaurant. Packed at breakfast. Do try the biscuits and gravy, every breakfast is hearty. Nothing fancy just authentic.

Stopped in for breakfast. Great service! Cute kitschy atmosphere. Good food, good price. We ended up going in for breakfast the next day too.

It's noisy and ambience deficient but it's an obvious favorite with the locals. We had lunch one day, and breakfast another day. Everyone was pleased both times: tuna melt, burgers, an omelette with home fries, and biscuits and gravy. As usual we forgot to take pictures of the food before we dug in. But the message is this: good normal... More

I loved this place It seemed to be a place the locals go to have breakfast and they were treated like family. The food was really good and the customer service was great. I would recommend this place to everyone.
