Simply stunning

As you would expect the views at Canberwarra lookout are spectacular but so too is the welcoming vibe of the cafe. The host is attentive and gentle in nature, the food is delicious and generous. We travelled from Canberra for lunch on a hill with family and left feeling refreshed. Highly recommended.

wonderful drive up the mountain take your time and enjoy the journey roads a bit thin but take your time all good !1!! What looks like a small cafe is just short of stylish and super clean the toilets are very clean neat tidy well serviced. NOWWWW the food is divine Restaurant quality its that good plates are clean utensils are spotless. Glasses were crystal clear and clean so all in all the things that are a must were well maintained. I was super impressed with the food at our table of 6 every meal was to perfection and the lady who waited on us was just so polite. so check it out We were so glad we did Design197

A scenic journey on windy roads littered with potholes which is popular with cyclists leads to a beautiful view. There is a small restaurant where the welcoming host was doing his best to get everyone seated inside on a rainy day. There is a limited menu which offered good options for gluten-free folk. A small selection of wines are available as well as beers.

Great location, Average food, Long wait!

I went here on a Sunday morning about an hour after opening. There was only 1 group of 4 (Who were still looking at the menu) and a table of 2 dining in when I arrived. After a look at the menu which didn’t have much to offer I decided to order the “Sweet Potato Rosti” which consisted of Sweet Potato Rosti’s, Poached Eggs, Bacon, Caramelised Onion and some Garnish and to go with that I ordered a Vanilla Latte. The coffee came out pretty quickly but I waited 40 minutes for the food to come which I thought was pretty excessive considering at the time of placing my order only 2 people were waiting for their food. The view from the outdoor deck was stunning and was a really nice backdrop to enjoy my morning coffee with the Crimson Rosellas dropping in to have a snack on some seeds! Overall the atmosphere was nice, The coffee was okay and the food was average for the price.

A Long Wait

The view over Nowra and the valley below are stunning but the service at the cafe is so very slow. We only ordered coffee and it took over 40 minutes to receive it. On top of that the coffee, a mug, was very weak. The meals that came out while we waited looked really good. We were towing a camper and do not recommend taking it up to the lookout. So narrow. We met a couple of cars just glad we didn’t meet another vehicle towing a trailer.

disappointing Brunch

C lousy day in Wollongong today so decided to take a trip to Canberwarra Mountain for the views and have something to eat.We were a little shocked by the prices on the menu, eg $27 for a burger $10 for a slice of Mango cheesecake to name just a couple. Our coffees arrived first, very little coffee flavour and only Luke warm we left both of them undrunk!! My wife had the Moroccan chicken dish at $28 which was ok, I had the chicken club sandwich at $27 the chips were cold and anaemic looking the club sandwich bread was stale and didn't look like the club sandwiches I have eaten all over the world, I left the chips and most of the stale bread with a smear of Aioli on it. Total cost was $65 overpriced and under delivered!!! ( the staff were good but the kitchen staff need help. Ex F and B manager of the Sydney Hilton Hotel 1975-1978 previously Maitre "d on QE2

Wow Thank you so much for such a Beautiful lunch. You made the yummiest chocolate milkshakes and you get the whole milkshake as well. We ordered the pumkin soup with your fresh bead, it was really yummy. My Dad ordered your prawn salad he said he loved it as well. The Staff were really nice and helpful and the place was very clean. Thank you again for such a lovely lunch. You cannot beat those views as well. You will love it here.

Magnificent Vista

Absolutely spectacular views over an extensive area. There seemed to be plenty of parking when we were there and a gentle stroll down to the lookout. There is also a nice café with ramped access and tables on the verandah to allow you to enjoy the view as you eat.

Fabulous Views and Great food

Our Probus Xmas Lunch was hosted by the restaurant, and what a surprise with the fabulous views and then the really good service from a very professional team of staff. The food we received was very special with likes o Turkey>>Yorkshire Pudding and Atlantic Salmon etc. Our group of over 35 Probus members enjoyed the day Immensely . Thankyou.

Lunch with parrots and view.

We stopped for a quick bite and a drink coming from Bateman’s Bay. Actually, our aim was the stunning mountain view, the perfect lunch was just the icing on the cake. We were lucky since beautiful king parrots came to the bird feeder, making our short stay perfect. The restaurant offers table service, though you have to order at the counter. Birds, view, delicious food, courteous service, what else do you need?

Lovely breakfast beautiful views

Great spot for an amazing view of the coast and a really good breakfast or brunch. The big eggs and bacon big breakfast hit the spot for my husband I had eggs and avocado. Service with a smile and worth the drive.

Hidden gem

Came up a long winding very narrow road through cloud to discover a most amazing panaromatic view. To add to that an unbelievable well maintained cafe with king parrots visiting. We just sat transfixed with the view and enjoyed home baked scones and cream and coffee. Well worth deviating from Kangaroo Valley to Most a road.

Driving through to Berry decided to explore further and grab a view from the lookout. We were absolutely gobsmacked by the glorious views and the Quaint cafe presiding over the scenery. We made an effort to return the following week to sample the cafe fair and enjoy a day out, and it did not disappoint. The simple but generous portions of food were well crafted and tasty. Coffee was a bit week but overall the experience was Charming to say the least. Great place for a stop over lunch with an awesome view. Recommended, Bravo

Great experience

Amazing food, just beautiful, had a great time, we all loved our meals and found the prices to be what we expected. Im surprised at some of the comments in the reviews, I found them to be in line with what other cafes are charging in the area. If you want something nice, in a top class location then expect to pay more than you would at McDonalds.

Hit and miss but view is always the star!!!!

Want up to the usual standard today. $28 for a chicken burger and fries? That would have been ok because the views worth $10 on its own.Beautifully presented but don’t mean much if the chicken breast is dry and tasteless. Coffee is always good here so try to make it for breakfast it’s better value and tastier food .
