Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amazing food, just beautiful, had a great time, we all loved our meals and found the prices to be what we expected. Im surprised at some of the comments in the reviews, I found them to be in line with what other cafes are charging...in the area. If you want something nice, in a top class location then expect to pay more than you would at McDonalds.More

We’ve been here several times before for afternoon tea- cakes and coffees were nice, but several times could not get scones as they had run out. Decided to take visiting family there for lunch today (public holiday Monday) - what a shock to see the...menu prices! Fortunately we were told upfront that there were no more pie of the day (chicken and leek) available, as it was $29! (We were also told, once again, that they had run out of scones already, by early afternoon -surely by now they could anticipate that they will need extra prepared on a public holiday-especially as do many reviewers have mentioned the same problem?). Chicken Caesar salad and seafood plate were both reasonably sized, although still pricey, but unfortunately, both of the open steak sandwiches ($27!) we ordered were small, tough and gristly. Having left the bits I could not chew on the plate, I commented to the server (the owner, perhaps?) when she came to clear the plates, that it was full of gristle. I felt her reply of, “Oh really, that’s very expensive steak-thanks for letting us know,” was more snarky than sorry, especially in the absence of anything even remotely resembling an apology! The fact that both of the steak sandwiches we ordered were of the same poor quality suggests that this was not a random one-off piece of bad luck. Having cooked steak sandwiches myself at home many times, I know for certain that the cook would have been fully aware of the amount of gristle and the sub-standard quality of the steak she was about to cook. Aside from that, the “open” style meant that I had to use a knife and fork to eat it, and with the steak being so tough, found this very difficult to do with the normal dinner knife that was supplied. The piece of bread was tiny and completely out-proportioned by the steak (which is saying something, as that also was on the small side), and had gone soggy by the time I was midway through. Will return for the beautiful views and native birds, but will not be paying through the nose to eat there again.More

C lousy day in Wollongong today so decided to take a trip to Canberwarra Mountain for the views and have something to eat.We were a little shocked by the prices on the menu, eg $27 for a burger $10 for a slice of Mango cheesecake...to name just a couple. Our coffees arrived first, very little coffee flavour and only Luke warm we left both of them undrunk!! My wife had the Moroccan chicken dish at $28 which was ok, I had the chicken club sandwich at $27 the chips were cold and anaemic looking the club sandwich bread was stale and didn't look like the club sandwiches I have eaten all over the world, I left the chips and most of the stale bread with a smear of Aioli on it. Total cost was $65 overpriced and under delivered!!! ( the staff were good but the kitchen staff need help. Ex F and B manager of the Sydney Hilton Hotel 1975-1978 previously Maitre "d on QE2More

This cafe at Cambewarra Lookout completely surprised us with the quality and quantity of their food, which was excellent. We went there on a rainy day and unfortunately, due to the closure of Moss Vale road as a result of landslide, there wasn't much patronage....It's an excellent spot on a sunny day to have something to eat with the vista spread out infront of you. The staff there was very welcoming. we have eaten at many places and this certainly has excellent food.More

Visited The Lookout Cafe and had a lovely visit even though it was raining and the lookout was covered in cloud. We had a coffee and the best carrot cake ever.

Magic, scenic view from the outdoor verandah. Very friendly and great to visit a place that doesn’t just tolerate having dogs but truly loves having them. Ash love the puppacino! The food was terrific and big serves. The wife loved her vegetarian big breakfast and...I loved my thick shake! Thanks for making us feel so welcome.More

A scenic journey on windy roads littered with potholes which is popular with cyclists leads to a beautiful view. There is a small restaurant where the welcoming host was doing his best to get everyone seated inside on a rainy day. There is a limited...menu which offered good options for gluten-free folk. A small selection of wines are available as well as beers.More

Driving through to Berry decided to explore further and grab a view from the lookout. We were absolutely gobsmacked by the glorious views and the Quaint cafe presiding over the scenery. We made an effort to return the following week to sample the cafe fair...and enjoy a day out, and it did not disappoint. The simple but generous portions of food were well crafted and tasty. Coffee was a bit week but overall the experience was Charming to say the least. Great place for a stop over lunch with an awesome view. Recommended, BravoMore
