Came in late with a group of business associates late on a weekday. Service was prompt and fast and the waitresses were prompt and friendly. Food was promptly served and seafood was fresh! The fresh jellyfish is recommended! An overall good place for seafood in a nice restaurant.

This is a high end Chinese restaurant in comparison to other restaurants in this town. My definition of high end means a reasonable good restaurant to bring your clients for a good meal. Good food. Good service.

Excellent Chinese food at reasonable prices! The Peking Duck was a hit, as was the sweet and sour seafood soup!

This is a very traditional Chinese restaurant. I am not sure how the price compares with other local eateries but I think it is good value for money. I spent rm47 for a plate of stir-fried vegetables with macadamia nuts, a plate of steamed prawns and a plate of hot plate beancurds. Food is not bad. The prawn is over-cooked... More

The food is good and fairly priced. The owner was very helpful and the prawns with butter sauce was superb. They even gave a favorable exchange rate when making change in USD (better than the banks at the airport in Kuala Lumpur).

I tried this stall after previous dinner at Kam Ling seafood restaurent just beside it, overall cooking is better just that the shop does't seems to be interest much compare to Kam Ling Seafood, better price with better taste and not charge us on garlic and chili and also better seafood varieties

I came across Maxim's purely by accident as I was strolling around town looking for somewhere to eat dinner. The restaurant is quite large by Tawau standards and looks as if it could seat several hundred people. The appearance is classically Chinese - starched tablecloths and uniformed waiters and waitresses everywhere. The service is efficient and friendly. Being a Chinese... More

Good for lunch & dinner. NOT suitable for muslims as they serve pork. However, whenever there's a dinner event hosted there, the quality of food seems to drop. Services by their staffs are good and well trained - one of the best in town too! This place is fully air-conditioned and that makes it a lot more comfortable for dining.

The steamed pomfret is a must! The special "naked neck" chicken ;) is very tasty steamed as well. Sabah vegetable or sayur manis stir fried with garlic or belacan(shrimp paste, spicy) is crunchy and completes the meal.
