This restaurant offers a wide variety of Americanized versions of classic northern Mexican food, similar to what Chinese restaurants do to so-called Chinese food (a bland, tamed-down version of one region of a country's food that supposed to be representative of the whole). The luncheon and dinner menus are similar to what you'll find elsewhere with numbered lunch specials, fajitas,... More

If there is ever a time when you are in Valdosta and you are facing the eternal debate of where you should eat dinner and it seems like no one can decide. Always, always, make the call to go to El Cazador. Great food, great prices, and there is something on the menu for everyone.

Best Mexican food in town! Been to all except La Jalisco but other than that by far the best. Always take out of towners here for dinner.

My family and I have eaten at this restaurant several times to try to give it a fair overall rating. Each time we have visited, the food seemed to get progressively worse. Most everything we have ordered has been so greasy and all the dishes seem to have the same taste no matter what it is. On our last visit... More

We were down for a ballgame at VSU. The guacamole was terrific and so was the cheese dip. We had stopped in for a quick bite and were not really starving. However, the great taste had us wanting more and we thought of ordering something to take with us. We only saw our waitress two times and she was not... More

I don't understand the other reviews. The food was so bad I couldn't eat it. The taco shells tasted like the cooking oil was really (I mean REALLY) old. The salsa was mediocre, the Chili Rellano was a mystery: it had some kind of something fried on the outside, was covered in a really smoky bad tasting sauce, will filled... More

Only Mexican place in town that actually has healthy options. It helps by offsetting the calories in their marvelous margs.

Best Mexican in Valdosta. Food is always really fast and tasty. Great drinks. Service can be a little spotty, but the food is soooo good.

Went here on the recommendation of friends, and the food was definitely a good score. Chips were fresh and crispy, salsa had a good flavor with a bit of a kick, and the cheese dip was yummy as well. We had enchiladas and the Burrito Cancun - both were very good. The burrito was Huge and quite tasty. Service was... More
