This was my first time coming here and it was pretty good. We came for breakfast. What I noticed when I first walked in was the fresh meat grilling in the back. The aroma was very satisfying. It made me want lunch instead. I'm definitely coming back to try some BBQ for lunch.

This place has been around for years!! This was a treat when I was young; you know the days when your mom cooked all your meals. And when we were back in the old neighborhood today we saw the sign and I had to go. They have the best BRUNSWICK STEW of any bar-b-q place. Their Bar-b-q is delicious also.... More

Local restaurant with down home southern charm. If you're going to a BBQ restaurant makes sense to try the BBQ ribs. Restaurants specialize in many styles of Bbq I prefer mine falling off the bone, soft and saucy, where these were on the drier side and chew them off the bone style which was fine. Great coleslaw. Pleasant staff.

If you are from the South you will enjoy this place, buttermilk biscuits, grits, ham, eggs any way you want them, great bacon etc. Biscuits are the very best ever. Location is on one end of an aging strip mall, but don't let that discourage you from stopping in, facility could use a little face lift, but at the same... More

The place needs to be renovated but the breakfast is filling and hardy. Racks with sliw cook meat fills the air. Older and younger folks. Friendly and talkative waitresses. Like the diversity of the clientele.

Outstanding restaurant for breakfast! Something on the breakfast menu for all members of the family. Eggs and ham, grits, and jumbo biscuit, and all the coffee you need makes a great meal. Staff is very friendly and helpful explaining the menu. BBQ smells in the restaurant as they prepare for lunch and supper meals! So delicious! Very filling meals served.... More

About twice a year we stop in for breakfast, Never disapointed. Seems we always run into someone we know. Old Hickory House has been in my life for at least 50 years !

Favorite with locals. Wood cooked smell and taste. Generous portions. When the waitresses recognize and know customers names, you know it's a place where locals go. If I can smell the meat cooking before I walk in, that's another good sign. In a city where restaurants come and go, this one has been here for forty years. Heavy wood decor... More

We haven't been to OHH in at least 10 years and I think our memories were better than this experience. The Brunswick stew with corn muffins was very good/excellent. The sliced pork sandwich was large but mostly due to the bread. The pork was average. Prices are very reasonable. Not sure if we would return as we were looking forward... More
