Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Attended a birthday celebration here which was excellent. Absolute luxury to use Royal Albert china! Catering of the high Tea was delicious, all preferences catered for (with small additional payment) with bottomless Tea offered from a wide ranging tea menu. Gave us the opportunity to...try something different. Atmosphere is wonderful as are the staff/owners who provided e exceptional service. Was a great way to celebrate.More

Very disappointing. Menu changed with some of popular dishes no longer available. Dishes now very small servings compared to when Keith owned it. Service very poor. Had to wait long period of time and remind staff of ordered items. No longer tea deal available ie...$5.50 and try various teas. Now $9.90 bottomless tea per person in 1 & 1/2 hours and pay for each pot. Also as service very poor won’t get through to more than a pot or two. Very expensive. This has always been my ‘go to’ and referred A LOT of people here, however will no longer be recommending Chapels on Whatley or come here myself. Extremely disappointed.More

Fantastic spot for a wonderful high tea occasion. So much food that 5 of the 8 guests took home leftovers. Lovely ambience. Fantastic location just near Maylands train station in Perth Australia. Staff attentive and friendly.

Today we had Diamond High Tea. I've enjoyed many afternoon teas in the UK but nothing as good as this. Food was delicious and sooo tasty. Staff were lovely. Can't recommend this enough

Took two grandchildren to Chapels on Whatley as a treat before the school year starts tomorrow. They love the atmosphere, the food and the lovely staff. They have been numerous times before and they weren’t disappointed today. Thank you

......Obviously if you like tea that is. I have always been an english breakfast person but was preapred to try something different after my first pot of the aussie equivalent to brekkie. I tried one with a hint of rose and it was very nice....All 4 of us had different teas and all enjoyed them immensely. Service was good and the manager took a bit of time regailing us with tales of tea.... not as boring as it sounds. Definitely an experience I have not had elsewhere in the world and we travel a lot.More

Went to Chapels on Whatley with a group of friends I used to work with - we get together to celebrate birthdays and catch up several times a year. Our November "birthday girl" chose a high tea at this venue, and we will be back!...There was a lovely variety of food, from savoury tarts and sandwiches to delicious scones and a variety of sweet treats. There was so much food some of us were lucky enough to get leftovers to take home! We chose our pots of tea to accompany the food from an extensive "tea menu", guided by the very helpful staff. They even brought an extra pot of a different tea because they thought we would enjoy it, and they were right. We also had a refill of one pot that ran out because some had gone back for seconds on it. All in all we had a very enjoyable time, with plenty of delicious food and some very lovely teas.More

Chapel's became a weekly regular visit during my stay in Perth and Keith and the family took excellent care of me. The ambience is relaxed and extremely neat and clean, with a uniquely WA/New Age/California vibe. Don't miss the house special omelette, or the Duck...Salad. Far and away the best salad I had during 3 months in Perth.More

I've been to Chapels a few times now.... the last for a good friends 70th that involved 4 of us having lunch. The other 3 had never been there. We are all foodies so taking them anywhere is a risk :) .......I felt very happy...by the end of our celebrations... food was great service was great and my 3 guests thoroughly enjoyed it.... in fact my friend went back there before flying back to Melbourne ...and that says a lot !! I'm going back next week to take another friend for her birthday .... and after that I'm pretty sure I'll be back again...... thanks heaps you all...I like your style :) :) ... MazMore

My partner booked online, we arrived several minutes before the booking and staff informed my partner that they have canceled the booking, they apparently tried to notify her but the number didn’t work. They were shown the number and it matched what they had. I...would not recommend them at all for anything. The staff attitude was appalling and did not help in any way.More

The customer service during my visit was good. The waiter recommended some teas for us and the cost of the tea and cake was reasonable.
