Our family enjoyed lunches at Southern Tide while we vacationed at Sea Island. We ate fish sandwiches, which changed depending on the fish of the day. We ate many other selections on the menu and everything we ordered was delicious. Be sure to have the house-made potato chips--they are addicting! There are also many interesting and refreshing drinks offered here.... More

Let's consider the tower Seafood appetizer to begin with......watery king crab legs, over cooked small "Georgia" shrimp, dry salty anemic raw oysters, cocktail sauce portion enough for one shrimp. Bar men selling drinks as if they were used car salesmen. The rest of the meal was so unmemorable I can even remember what we ate. Quality product and quality preparation... More

We went to Southern Tide last minute and the staff and service was great. I thought the fish I had was above average and very flavorful. Kid friendly.

Beautiful view! Good food and very creative cocktails. What a lovely place to walk to when staying at the Cloisters- on the property- across the street from the main building.

Seafood flare is obvious AND expected. Fish sandwich for my meal was blackened corvina. It was great! I choose fries as the side. They are large and have a seasoned layer to them -- loved! The calamari was OUTSTANDING! My friends ordered the deviled eggs with pimento cheese dip. The dip was great (to them) but the eggs were just... More

Terrific alternative dining sport for lunch and dinner whenever the mood of relaxation overpowers your need for fancy. Outside lunch is especially nice on warm winter days and when the midday light is just right bouncing off the ocean.

My husband and I stayed at The Cloisters....our first time to the Island. We arrived in the evening and were tired from a day of travel and sightseeing. So, we asked for a causal place to eat on the grounds. He ordered the fish of the day, blackened Corvina, with broccoli, and I ordered the cajun shrimp and grits, with... More

I had the hamburger and fries. It was just what I wanted and prepared to perfection. The hamburger had a beautiful sear on it that made it taste amazing. For dessert I had the Sea Island Sundae. The homemade ice cream was delicious and the topping was fun!

We had two meals during our stay on the property at southern tide: thanksgiving dinner and a regular night. Neither were inspiring. Thanks giving dinner was slightly below ok and the only thing on the $58 plate worthy of mention was the Brussel sprouts which were excellent. Going around the table: smoked turkey was very dry & lacked flavor, fried... More

Today my wife and I ate here for the first time, taking advantage of a special promotion that gave non-residents of Sea Island / The Cloister the opportunity to try its restaurants. This restaurant is located within the beach club complex and fronts onto either the ocean or poolside, both offering lovely views. It's a relaxed, more casual restaurant and... More
