Lot of history around. We've been coming here for years. Our go to place for Farmers cheese. Lots of cool gifts plus a side sandwich place for lunch.

Friendly and attentative service... Galen is a pleasure to spend time with. This place has morphed over the years and manages to retain a special "magic"... it keeps you coming back.

Sautee Naccoche is just east of the very touristy Helen, GA. We slipped into this lunch spot with no problem and had great sandwiches made with their homemade bread. Yum!

We did not visit the deli but spent a long time in the store. The owners have collected a fascinating collection of antiques that depict what an old mercantile store would have looked liked. Coolest thing was the nickelodeon player piano- we did that twice!...More

Love the Farmers cheese here. It is the only place you can get it. One side of the store is the way it was years and years ago. The other side is a quaint old fashioned store the sells local canned products. Candies soaps. They...More

Not sure what I expected, but only part of the building felt like an old store. The back 1/4 of it was basically t-shirts and other apparel. I know they need to make a profit, but I guess I was expecting more authentic wares. We...More

The Frieds have not owned the store since around 2000. Unfortunately they both passed away many years ago. Galen and Jean Greene have owned the store since 2003.

They had a table with samples set up in the middle of the store & I think there was a refrigerated case nearby, but you had to buy a big block of it. You can buy similar (if not the same) Swedish farmer's cheese at Ikea... More
