I had lunch on a Friday recommended by a friend and really was a good choice. Every Friday they cook many kinds of fish and the price is about the average.

This is my favorite place in Quitman to eat! There is wonderful southern food and the buffet changes every day. You can also order from a menu. The service is awesome!

Since moving to the town, I have been told to go to the Royal on Fridays. I can say the grits, shrimp and fried biscuits are out of this world good!! No wonder it is hard to find a seat after 11:00 at this place.

We were taking the back roads to Florida, because it gives us a much better sense of the places we are passing through, and the many regions of our country. We loved this place: I had the garden salad with grilled chicken and lots of sweet tea, and my husband had a hamburger and a soda. This place has been... More

We went on a Sunday after church and wanted to order off the menu, but they only do a buffet on Sunday. That was alright with us. The buffet was really good. The fried chicken was especially good, as well as the roast beef. We will certainly return.

The Royal is one of the oldest restaurants in GA. Although there have been different owners over time, the Royal always delivers good homestyle meals. The Royal is also a gathering place, especially in the mornings and at lunch. Sunday lunch is busy with delicious food.

Good southern food served in an old time diner type of atmosphere by very friendly staff. Seems to be a favorite with the locals. We found it by accident as we were just passing through town. Really a treat!

My wife and I were going to Tallahassee and we usually go through Ouitman, Ga. Saw the Royal Cafe and decided to take a break for lunch and walk around this typical Souther town. As I had grown up in Lake Park, a few miles south; it was familiar. We ordered two cheese burgers which were huge and freshly prepared,... More

Started our day on the road with a stop in Quitman for breakfast and enjoyed the veggie omelet, grits and a light freshly baked biscuit. Friendly service, good coffee and memorabilia photos reflecting their history since 1913.
