We went to Chapters for a quiet dinner recently. I'd had forgotten what a gem this little place was. It runs like clockwork with attentive waitstaff and above all great food, a menu that is thoughtfully curated and represents good value. Best of all, when you get presented with the bill, there is NO CREDIT CARD SURCHARGE. Unlike one other destination in our area, they don't ask their customers to subsidise their banking costs. Loved it. Still our local favourite.

Went to chapters to have a good Sunday lunch with Yorkshire puddings, They did not disappoint. Had the chicken liver Parfait with toasted sourdough for starters which was magnificent all this washed down with whispering Angle wine- cannot go wrong. the price for 3 people was of great value also. service was very professional. Will be back.

We came here for Mother’s Day and all had the Sunday Roast. It was delicious! We will definitely be coming back for a Sunday dinner again. We also had desserts and they were really tasty too! The sides were a little over priced as we all had to get pigs in blankets, mash & cauliflower cheese but overall we really enjoyed it.

This is the fourth time that I have eaten at this restaurant with my family for their Sunday roast and every time it has been excellent food, attentive service and portion size more than sufficient. I selected the Porchetta roast over the chicken. My only complaint was the size of the portion of the Porchetta, one slice and looked less than 3oz of meat. When our table was asked by the waitress if everything was ok with the meal, I felt I had to mention my disappoint at the portion size of the Porchetta. My concerns were immediately addressed by the waitress, and I was asked if I would like another slice or would I prefer to have the chicken instead, I choose the chicken. My untouched plated meal and meat was returned to the kitchen. I wish i had taken an image to justify my complaint. When my plated meal was returned to me 10mins later, the replacement meal was on the same plate as before. The original vegetables and potatoes still on the same plate and all that had been done was to remove the original Porchetta slice and replaced it with the same size Porchetta slice, despite requesting the chicken!! On paying the bill, the senior French head waiter asked if the meal was OK, and I repeated the events. I mentioned to the head waiter that I believed the restaurant should have replaced the meal in full on a fresh plate. He took my comments on board and would advise the kitchen. So much for the Owners having worked in Michelin star restaurants.

Thursday night catch up and as we arrived just before 6pm, we were lucky to still get a half price drink as part of Thursday Happy Hour. The food menu has a number of dishes to choose from and there is an extensive drinks menu that is reasonable in price. I chose the Pie of the Day which was Pork and mushroom, whipped potato, charred broccolini. My dinner partner chose the Goats’ cheese souffle, pear & rocket salad and we shared the Crispy Duck fat potatoes, confit garlic, and chives. The service is very good, and the staff that served us were very friendly. The restaurant is very popular with the locals so its best to book a table. Highly recommend Chapters and I will be back!

Unfortunately this restaurant wasn’t really for us. We had the expectation that is was going to be a bit more of a fine dining restaurant given the pricing and the reviews however it’s far from it. The food was ok and the service was ok but nothing outstanding making you want to go back. It’s a shame because there is a lot of hype around this place but we just fail to see why. Also given that you had to commit to a $20 deposit per person gives you those high expectations that just wasn’t met. It is in a good location and if your looking for that more casual dining experience then may be worth a try. Just not for us.

I absolutely love this place ! Food is always exceptional, staff are professional and friendly. We live 45 minutes away but Chapters is always our first choice. Love that they introduce new foods that nowhere else seems to cook to perfection. Their Sunday roasts are great value for money and the Yorkshire pudds are all made in house, not your frozen ones that we've had in other restaurants. They have bottomless brunches and these are very popular! Also cater for large party bookings, high chairs, vegetarian and vegan options. All in all this place is awesome 👌

Very disappointing we visited for our wedding anniversary and the food was average at best. The starters were ok my husband French onion soup was basically beef broth with little onion in it. The mains were a pie with mash and veg and steak. The pie was warm but veggies cold. The steak was nice but broccoli never arrived. My husband sent his meal back and didn’t order anything else. I eat mine and the broccoli never arrived! Wouldn’t go back again a special occasion spoiled .

Hi Bacc19 Yes we are very sorry to hear you did not enjoy your anniversary with us. As you are aware we fully admitted our mistake on the night regarding the pie and broccolini. Your husband was asked many times to chose another meal to which he declined. He was also offered a complementary dessert or coffee which he declined. We tried our hardest on the night to rectify the experience but to no avail. I did let our staff on the night know to eventually leave your table alone as it was very obvious what ever we offered was not going to help the matter. We do hope to see you again as we would like you to have the experience that you were looking forward to.

We found this gem a couple of months ago and the Sunday Riast is by far the best we have had. Service is great, the staff are so friendly and attentive.. Chapter’s will be our favourite restaurant from now on. We used to go to the Currambine bar & bistro but have had to stop going there as their roast in particular isn’t great and it’s pricey.

Went for the steak. They did have rump on special for $25 but rump is a tough steak. Their top steak was sirloin at a whopping $45. We usually eat eye fillet grass fed at home costing us $12 per grass fed fresh steak. The sirloin was average but I can only imagine scotch filler or rib eye would have to be proved at 60-70 per steak to keep up appearances. The sides were the best value and best offering as was the delightful little garlic cob. I’d never put rump on a menu at a 5 star restaurant unless it were in a 24 hour slow cooked beef dish. Nice looking place though

This place does well but I feel you have to keep up the standard and don't relax and hope to keep up the patronage. The new menu is short of options too. We are weekly customers howerever I asked the staff about the burger on the new menu .was it oyster Bay microwave burger which a few outlets are using. She returned with which was obviously a smart arse response from the kitchen..it's made of mince meat. Ok so it turned up and yes it was a raw blood red oyster bay microwave burger under cooked. I made mention to the manager who gave us coffee as compensation..that's was a poor effort by the kitchen and management still to charge full price for a raw under cooked burger.......lift your game guys !!!!

Thank you for your feedback LittleChef171061. regarding to the oyster bay burger im afraid I have never heard of it would you be referring the The Angel bay burger which is used by many establishments ? This is a pre cooked product that is impossible to serve pink as is already fully cooked. Regarding our burgers we like to stay local and use our local butcher whom prepares a fresh burger mince for our menu.Maybe your burger was underdone and no there was no sarcastic comment from the kitchen as the waitress asked if we used oyster blade in our burger patty and did we microwave to which we responded that it is a fresh minced Pattie product . From this I would assume your question about our burger was not altogether clear to the aforementioned waitperson. I have spoke to the manager on duty whom informed us that you were in good spirits after your conversation regarding your meal and you were happy with your free coffee so you will will understand our mangers surprise on reading your review. Once again we welcome your feedback and strive to make your next dining experience with us a pleasurable one.

Having supported this restau rant over many years, we like to try and support local where possible, today’s experience was so disappointing. To be served a roast dinner with Beef which was basically not edible, the soggy Broccoli and roast potatoes we could forgive but our meat was terrible, hardly able to cut it, mostly fat, sinew and even arteries visible, as some would say ‘the scrag ends’ - just not acceptable. We mentioned to the lovely waitress at the beginning it wasn’t good, but decided not to pursue further and carry on, eating only the vegetables, I ate approx 1/4 of the beef if that as gave up picking through it. My husband ate a little more than I before giving up. Go to pay and tell the owner, her attitude was one of couldn’t care less and that we were possibly making it up, or exaggerating, so disappointing. We were not after a full refund, or any refund, but just for it to be acknowledged, and not be given excuses, as there are none, it should never have made it onto the plate. I wouldn’t have given that Beef to my pet. Although to be fair we have had some lovely meals here in the early days, but it seems to be hit n miss lately with too many misses than hits now. Top it off with a male waiter that was very rude to us a few weeks ago, and also to some friends of ours recently, today was the icing on the cake. This chapter is closed.

Yesterday we went to Chapters Bistro for diner. I ordered fish of the day, and I expected a chank of well seasoning local fish meat. I was surprised to get on the plate a few chanks of fish fins with big bones and very little meat. Additionally, the meat was not seasoning and tasted awful. Those pieces of fish were surrounded by two big leaves od cale so hard that I was not able to cat those leaves in the smaller pieces to eat. I propose a new name for this dish – instead of ”fish of the day” you can call it “surprise of the day”.
