Just left there. All food provided by Sysco food services. Nothing homemade. It's a Pub. With typical Pub food. Had the Whistle stop burger. Supposed to be best in valley. Mediocre at best. Frozen patti. Overall not bad if pub/frozen pre-made food is what your looking for. But here in the Comox Valley you can do a lot better.

I enjoyed the environment. The staff was friendly. The food was delicious and a big portions. I haven't seen the movie but now I want to watch it. First time eating fried green tomatoes. There is a lot to explore around the restaurant as well

I was so excited to go to the Whistle Stop Cafe. This was such a fabulous experience and so worth the trip. The waitress we had only worked at the restaurant 6 years but knew everything about the history and the movie. The food was so authentic and southern comfort that I'd never experienced before. All the buildings are kept... More

The Whistle Stop Café was better than expected. Of course, the ambience was great. Just a little rustic restaurant that was exactly as depicted in the book by Fannie Flagg and in the move, Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Café. Old signs on the walls, wooden floors and fun wait staff. They make you feel like you’re there... More

Made my husband take me here for a visit. So much fun! If you have seen the movie, you must come for a visit. It is almost exactly like the movie still preserved. The café is busy but our wait time was only 20 minutes to be seated. We visited during the week. Pretty little drive out to the café.... More

This was one of the best places I've ever visited, honestly! Maybe it's all the history behind it........With that said, you absolutely positively need to go to the Whistle Stop Cafe! If you're a fan of the movie Fried Green Tomatoes, go to this restaurant! We went and I of course ordered a Fried Green Tomatoes sandwich with a side... More

Disappointed they were not open but I had to see. Talked to a guy from Arkansas who wife lived in the building that the fire house is, he said this place hasn't changed much. Small little shop must depend on the Cafe to be open for their trade. This day Tuesday everybody is closed.

It pains me to write this review! The fried green tomatoes and okra tasted as if it had been fried in very old oil! We drove nearly an hour to visit one of our favorite spots! Several of us like to have not made it home before having upset stomachs. I wonder if they only change their oil once a... More

This is where the film "Fried Green Tomatoes" was made. The town is very small, but quaint. The BBQ is cooked over a pit outback, just like in the movie, over pecan wood, The BBQ was the BEST I have ever eaten! The sweet potatoe fries sticks were done to perfection. But the best thing was something that I had never had before, Pecan Dumpling. It has replaced Carnegie Deli cheesecake as my favorite dessert! If you like the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes" go to the Whisltle Stop Cafe and have some Fried Green Tomaoes, BBQ, sweet potatoe fires and pecan dumpling and remember a slower, quieter time and enjoy!
