The atmosphere was nice, quiet and understated. The food was good, but not excellent. You're definitely paying for the ambiance.

First, we did not eat in the courtyard, but inside. So, my review is based on our experience there. We thought the food was very, very good and that every course including the special chocolate dessert cake was wonderful. The chef had a fresh caught...More

We have reservations for a 5:30 dinner on a Sunday. I'm wondering if our four year old and one and a half year old will be out of place. We are not the type of family that lets the kids scream and make a mess, but the toddler can be loud because he's a toddler : )

Would like to make a dinner reservation - celebrating our 45th anniversary! Do we need to decide in advance whether we want indoors or outdoors? It would depend on the weather. I'm inclined to go with indoors, just in case. Is there a dress code? Would like to reserve 7:00 pm for 2 people on Monday, June 13. Can we do that here or do we need to go to a different website?

Description
The Courtyard at Crane, Jekyll Island, a less formal dining option, is located in the center courtyard and loggia of the historic Crane Cottage. The cottage, designed in 1917 by Chicago architects Adler and Dangler, was inspired by an Italian Renaissance villa admired by Richard T. Crane Jr., the original owner. Guests are offered the option of dining inside or outside.
