This restaurant is housed in a building from 1880 and is attached to a B&B. It is all family run and the workers (mostly family) are delightful. The menu is limited but they serve all three meals and are catered by many local groups. I had the pork dish with sides which was delicious as prepared and my wife enjoyed... More

Red Oak is a family run business. The family and staff make you feel like family. They are known for their hamburgers which is a mix of beef and pork. Wonderful desserts. The first Friday of every month, they have their version of Iron Chef. They also catering.

Had the Acorn make two specialty cakes for events for our staff members. Not only were the cakes beautiful, but they were delicious and our staff members loved them. Definitely recommend their specialty cakes and I know I will order in the future.

Wonderful meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner served with plenty of southern hospitality. Typical southern breakfast menu, lunch has varied menu from salads, soup, unique sandwiches that upgrade from chips to one of the sides for $1 more. Meat and two sides, vege plate, burger, desserts, soft drinks, coffee, tea, lemonade. For more info, menu check web site. Easy parking and... More

We've always said we'd like to try the Acorn Restaurant but usually go to the more established chain restaurants in Augusta. After running all day, we decided to try this place and SO happy we did. The food does NOT disappoint and the service is unbelievable. You definitely won't get this at a pricier restaurant!! I had the fish and... More

Enjoyed the cold plate - salad, chicken salad with cranberries. Yummy! Pimento cheese with pineapple chunks and pecans. This was very good! Awesome hometown family owned and operated. Must try as you visit Harlem.

Very nice restaurant in Harlem. Has a limited menu so be sure to look on website. Has sandwiches and burgers, but my favorite is the cold pecan chicken salad. The absolute best ever tasted. Like the acorn grit appetizers with special sauce.

Where to begin . . . all right ─ first, the restaurant is attached to the Red Oak Manor, a charmingly quaint hotel in Harlem, Georgia. The food [and the beverages] are priced EXCEPTIONALLY reasonably. Here's an example: My wife and I had one order of chicken wings [six per order], two blackened whitefish dinners, one glass of tea, and... More

This is a locally owned restaurant and they go out of their way to make your trip enjoyable. They have several homenade dishes to choose from and on Friday nights they have a trivia night to spice things up a bit.
