When money is tight, I satisfy my wanderlust with road trips to small georgia towns near metro Atlanta. On one such trip, I saw the I-20 highway sign for Greensboro, GA and wondered what was there. Cute little downtown area. Noticed quite a few people coming out of a restaurant. Researched it later, found some good reviews, so returned today... More

Brittany was our server and she is a gem. Such friendly staff and great service. We drove 62 miles just to have lunch here. We were not disappointed. Fresh, made from scratch food. Daily specials as well as a full menu. I had the grilled chicken with mushrooms and onions with a side of fried okra and coleslaw. Wonderful flavor,... More

For those visiting the South, imagining a town with a courthouse on Main Street, & a local, home-cooking restaurant near-by, you'll find that in beautiful Greensboro, Georgia. The restaurant is The Yesterday Cafe, & its beauty is not only in its history & location. Regardless of what you order -- from shrimp & grits to steaks & salads -- the... More

They have great food- I love the pork chops and the buttermilk pie! It can be busy at times but it usually is not too long of a wait.

Don't miss this little gem in quaint, downtown Greensboro, Georgia. Lots of tasty home cooking, along with seafood, steaks, salads, sandwiches & of course, their famous buttermilk pie! it's fun to read the comments from previous patrons in the table journals. Memorabilia of days gone by and residents framed on the walls are a highlight.

The host and waitresses are eager to please. They present the overall reputation of the restaurant in a very positive light. The food is always excellent and hot. I've eaten there many times and have never been disappointed.

The food is always good here and the service it also good. It can be pretty busy during the lunch rush so get there early. Great food!

When we arrived at the restaurant it wasn't that crowded. Not because it was almost closing time (we got there at 8[m) but because it was the 4th of July weekend and everyone was out on the lake. The waitresses were very sweet, polite, and energetic. Since it was the end of the night (they close at 9pm on Sat)... More

Three of us were in the area and were looking for a good lunch, saw The Yesterday Cafe and gave it a try; we weren't disappointed. Each of us had different selections (Fried Chicken Salad, BLT and Vegetable Plate) and all were very good. A varied menu offered something for each taste and hunger level. It was a joy to... More

Went about 1:30 on a Friday. The wait was surprisingly long. Maybe 15-20 min. Once served the food made the wait seem like a bad dream. 3 of us had 3 different items. Each of us was delighted with our meal. Now! The buttermilk pie.......worth every crazy calorie.
