My wife and I have eaten in the Rexall Grill in Duluth for over twenty years. I have to say, in recent years it has become filled with junk--old chairs, cardboard boxes, used shelving, you name it. For several years, they have required that patrons to sit in the back of the restaurant by saying the front tables are closed.... More

We went for lunch upon a recommendation from a local. The service was great and the food was served quickly. We order several items to have a good sampling. The best items were the broccoli casserole, hush puppies, meatloaf, cheeseburger, and biscuits. It is great Southern cooking at an affordable price. We didn't order Mac and cheese, but it looked... Went for breakfast and a town hall meeting. Had two eggs, 4 slices of average bacon, grits(small bowl) and coffee. Nothing special about their breakfast at all. Without tip, the bill was $12.58. Seems a little expensive especially considering at best just an average breakfast.

Maybe the "locals" meet and greet each other, but a very basic two egg breakfast was $ 13.00 before tip .. Undercooked small eggs, tasteless homemade sausage made me long for the waffle house. No idea how this place has lasted

This place is where all the locals eat. Best breakfast and lunch. Southern cooking like mama used to make. You will not leave hungry. Rexall has a counter to resemble the days of soda fountains. Don't forget to see what homemade deserts they have. At least take one home. Today we had broccoli casserole, amazing mac-n-chesse, butter beans, cornbread and... More

Dbl cheese burger w bacon and fries, 2 egg salad sandwiches on regular square bread w hash browns and 2 vegetables, chicken tenders with loaded hash browns , 2 waters and 2 cokes was $52 before tip. Food and service was good but $60.00 bucks for lunch is not worth returning.

Lunch here is always good. I try to get something home made instead of a burger and I'm always pleased. Staff is plenty and friendly.

Home coming at its Southern Finest. The veggies change, but we had fried okra, homemade mac -n-cheese, squash casserole, green beans, collards with cornbread and sweet tea. Also had turkey, dressing and cranberry sauce. Don't expect fansy, just plain good.

Mind you, I'm not old enough to have actually eaten at drug store counter when they were in fashion, but I imagine that a lot of it would be like visiting the Rexall Grill in Duluth. This place is super packed and it is seat yourself. You may end up sharing a table with diners not in your party, which... More

This is absolutely a local institution with all of the local politicians, bankers, business owners, plumbers, mechanics, and retirees dropping by for breakfast or lunch and visiting. They have a good but unremarkable breakfast. The lunch plate "Meat and Three" is always a go to choice. I've had the Chicken and Dressing several times. Very good - probably my favorite... More
