Went to this restaurant for brunch today. I ordered the BLT and my husband ordered the tomato/grits appetizer. The service and staff were very rude. The food was horrible. I noticed rat droppings on my plate. I just felt uncomfortable there. It is very noisy,...the staff couldn't hear that I was complaining about the rats, I had to get up and leave.More

Went to this restaurant for lunch today. I ordered the BLT and my husband ordered the tomato/grits appetizer. The service and staff were very accommodating. However, I fail to see the allure of this restaurant. The food is sub par and the atmosphere feels like...your in the middle of a collection of "garage sale " items. I just felt uncomfortable there. It is very noisy, even though the restaurant seems to hold only about 25 people. The lady's room looks like a Halloween store! Don't want to put a restaurant down, but his place was not worth the $40. The iced tea was good, though. They also have a bakery next door. We went in there and everything looked okay, but I would not pay $45 - $75 for a cake!More

Well the food is outstanding. The appetizer we had were very good. Green fried tomatoes and the onio rings were very tasty. Large portions. All our meals came with grits. The service was outstanding. The owner came around several times to make sure we were...pleased with our meals. Again large portions. We were so full we took our Deserts home. Again large portions. Reservations are strongly suggested.More

Drove up from Tampa area on a Late Thursday afternoon to arrive for our 6:15pm reservation. Yes, I made reservations at the suggestion of many TripAdvisor reviews. Was glad I did because the first words out of the mouth of their employee at the front...door was “do you have a reservation “. Thankfully we did & were seated quickly. This place is very small with a sign on the wall saying 48 seats. Eclectic mix of antiques as decor which lends itself to a nostalgic experience for more mature adults. Old building with 20’ ceiling. Interesting place visually. I was disappointed that they had run out of Turkey by the time we arrived. I suppose that’s understandable as the Turkey dinner is offered only on Thursday. (They do offer an open face Turkey sandwich all the time tho). I asked the server for a suggestion & she suggested chicken & waffles. I’ve never had that, so I took her advice. My husband ordered Jimmy’s brisket. Before our meals arrived the server brought 2 pieces of delicious cornbread out & 2 “tiny” but delicious side salads. The chicken & waffles plate was stacked high with 2 whole waffles I think & some fried chicken tenders. Accompanying that was a delicious syrup for the waffles & a buttermilk gravy for the tenders. The brisket meal had baked beans in a cup & coleslaw. Although my waffles were a little over done, they were good & the chicken tenders were enough & delicious. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the brisket meal. As advised by many, we ended the meal by sharing the huge flavorful banana pudding and taking home a massive slice of chocolate layer cake. All in all a fabulous dinner experience. Hope to go back again someday.More

This eatery was a wonderful find. Our server was very accommodating to my niece. My niece did not want to order just Mac so our server said I will be back. She brought out for her a plate with banana pudding and a bowl of...Mac and cheese. Also she brought her a bowl of fruit. This was very sweet and kind. It impressed me, my niece, and her memaw. My grilled cheese was delicious and my mom asked for a chef salad which they made just for her. I belive this is a must visit to all visiting wildwood.More

I live in Ft. Lauderdale with plenty of good restaurants there, as well as Miami and Palm Beach. This is the best restaurant I have eaten in, in years. Not only were the shrimp huge and fresh, but the coating was wonderful. I give 5...stars and reasonably priced!More

Not sure what to expect we strolled in late. Found a small menu of good food. Not wanting a big meal I chose the grilled cheese sandwich made with 4 types of cheese. Toasted in cheese it was very tasty. I found the side of...grits to be creamy but a little salty for my taste. The hot turkey sandwich was made with fresh turkey and whole cranberries. Delicious. But, the highlight of our meal was the banana pudding. Served in a boat it came with a whole banana and nilla wafers. Fantastic, too much to eat in one seating! Creamy good and fresh! See photo!More

I found the restaurant to be very small and noisy. If you sit by the door it keeps on opening and closing about every 10 minutes or more. Probably could only seat about 25 people. The menu is small, the food was good. A bit...on the pricey side ($15 for a salad). Will I return, probably not. There's a need to find a better location with parking. The service was very good!More

Came here with a group and had attentive servers handle the drinks order on a fairly good pace. The place seats a maximum of 48 people and about 12 tables. Our group was split into two tables which was fine. Orders were places and menus...items explained (kind of). And off they went. Salads and soup ops were brought out and both were tasty a d fresh. It went downhill from there. One table of our group were served first, even though we all ordered together, albeit, with different servers. The first table of guests were about half done when three of our four orders showed up. Kind of. My side order was missing. The fourth order showed up 5 minutes later and did not have the side order of vegetables with the service. The first table was done eating and had to wait for us to either finish eating or half finish and pack away our remaining food in to go boxes. The server offered two deserts to help cover the wait, and we had to share two deserts with 4 people. That was ok, because the deserts were large, and we each took them home with our to go half eaten food to eating tomorrow. What we received was good food, the cornbread stuffing with mashed potatoes on top and then covered with homemade cranberries would have been better separately presented on the plate with the two small pieces of turkey breast. One diner came with country fried chicken presented well and good sized. The other country fried chicken was also ordered that way, but came smothered with gravy over the chicken, not was was ordered, but kept because of the long delay. I can see good thing potentially here, but we had a number of slip ups.More

Some good friends of our recommended this place, and all four of us visited here for dinner on Saturday evening. The setting is a very old but quaint building. I ordered the Alambama Fried Catfish, my wife ordered Southern Fried Chicken. I tried the Roasted...Corn on the Cob,which was excellent. Both meals were fantastic. Our Server was Angela, who was Great; very attentive and very courteous. My wife ordered Pecan Pie for dessert, and I had a monstrous slice of salted carmel cake; both were excellent. I believe the official name of this restaurant is Miz Kathi's Southern Cotillion Cafe. We would heartily recommend this place. They serve wine, but no beer.More
