Place was easy to find and was very inviting with the outdoor seating. Easy to dart in after exploring downtown Tampa and take a break before going at it again. 2/2 Service 1/3 Food 1/1 Ambiance

We were staying on the Riverwalk and walked here on advice of the concierge. This was a lovely little cafe. There is an outside patio by the river and a small air-conditioned cafe inside. We opted for inside as the temperature was 97 degrees today....More

Sat on patio. The menu is smaller than the original COLUMBIA restaurant, but they include all of the favorites! Enjoyed the Black Bean "caviar!" Conveniently located right next to the Amalie Arena, so perfect for that before the concert dinner!

We loved sitting on the water enjoying the view. Their bread is simply the best bread on the face of earth. Seriously. And...the plantain tapas were cooked to perfection. The white chocolate bread pudding was heavenly.

I've dined at other Columbia restaurant locations, so it was a real delight to find this café in the Tampa History Center. We dined inside, but there is outside seating as well, which overlooks the Riverwalk, and is open to those not visiting the museum....More

Description
Enjoy waterfront drinks, tapas and our delicious Spanish/Cuban cuisine at the Columbia Cafe in the Tampa Bay History Center on the Tampa Riverwalk. The Cafe proudly serves locally brewed craft beers on tap. We offer a full bar, and serve lunch and dinner daily. Live music Friday and Saturday nights on our outdoor, canopy covered waterfront patio bar. Located next to the Amalie Arena, and walking distance along the Tampa Riverwalk from the Marriott Waterside Hotel, Embassy Suites, the Florida Aquarium and the Tampa Convention Center. Casual attire is fine, but we don't allow sleeveless shirts on men. Guests can dine inside at a scaled-down version of the original mahogany bar at our sister restaurant, the Columbia in Tampa's historic Ybor City, built more than a century ago in 1905 by the Brunswick Company. If you're boating, we invite you to dock at Garrison Channel outside the Tampa Bay History Center at one of eight tie-ups.
