This family style diner has great Cuban and Columbian food. The portions are large and the prices small. Very authentic food. The Cuban sandwich is super!

This was a strange meal. I ordered a Cajun-style shrimp dish and it was pretty weak. At an entrée price the dish included six very small shrimp that were overcooked. The sauce was quite bland. Very disappointing. Fortunately, the fried tilapia my wife ordered was huge and delicious. In fact, I think we both agreed it was the best fried... More

Driving through Sarasota and stopped here for a bite to eat. Very clean cute little place. Very good service and prices are amazing! Had the Wednesday Special, Pulled Beef, Rice, Salad and cooked plantains. Good portions. Next time in Sarasota will return here.

There's not to many Spanish restaurants in Sarasota. However, there's no need for another. Excellent food. Service a bit slow, but worth the wait....

I ate a Bandeja Paisa and it was pretty good! However i ended up throwing up the beans later that night:( not sure if it was the fact that i over ate or if it was just the food! Not sure if i'd come back though

I first discovered Mi Tierra (on the "wrong side of Fruitville Road") on Hwy. 301 in Sarasota during a Tropical Storm. They had pots and buckets all over the place because their roof was leaking everywhere. But I sensed I was in the right place when I noticed I was the only non-Spanish-speaking patron in the restaurant. I love finding... More
