This place has recently reopened as The Monkey Bar with a predominantly burger menu. The former British theme is gone and the emphasis seems to be a regular sports bar.

It's a nice place, food tasty and prices reasonable. Would recommend.We enjoyed some of the large pot pie type dishes. Service was good and friendly.
There is another bar open, but it is not a British pub, and we did not go inside. There was no information about whether they moved, or simply closed. I suspect the latter.

On our visit last night, several items on the menu were not available including: both British draft beers, Boston lager and haddock. Also the bar was out of sauvignon blanc and pinot grigio. But the fish and chips were good and the prices reasonable.

Good local close to where we were staying on holiday,came here to watch the English soccer which was shown live.the staff were very friendly and helpful
