We had previously visited Clayton's during the slower Jan month so we were curious if they could maintain our previous great food and service experience? No problem. The food was still great. The focus on local and fresh was still there. The daily fish special is clearly indicative of support for local fishers. Javi our waiter ,despite juggling lots of... More

I will start by saying the food was excellence and our server was very enthusiastic. However, we had a 7pm reservation and were still no seated until 8:20pm. We were told a couple times we would be "taken care of" because of the inconvenience and that did not happen. We know another family who ate their a couple nights later... More

This place came recommended by some locals and other travelers. We arrived early around 5 pm, you can make reservations on Open Table App. We were seated outside and immediately greeted by a very talkative server. He returned with our drinks, they were STRONG, but good. The place quickly became crowded and that was the end of the good service.... More

We normally have great experience here. Not so much this time. We called for a reservation, their recording said to leave a message but they never got it. If you aren't going to check, I would suggest stating so the greeting. It was really busy and we had horrible service. Slow and the waitress was very distracted and kept forgetting... More

We have been visiting Siesta Key since 2004 and had never eaten at Clayton's. We went based on a recommendation from a friend and am glad we did. There were three of us for dinner. My wife ordered the flounder special which was excellent. My sister-in-law had the macadamia nut encrusted grouper which was also great and I had the... More

If you visit Clayton's when they are busy - you could leisurely walk to the ocean - catch your meal - and get back before anyone noticed you were missing - cause the service gives new meaning to the slow Siesta Key life style. Teenagers have qualified for social security by the time their main course arrives. All the driftwood... More

The duck is still the best I've ever had, but the service was not up to par at all. My wife was disappointed in her meal. No bread was offered, and waited a long time to get the check. We had planned to go back for another meal, but will go elsewhere.

Discovered this place after several week trips to Siesta Key. Great food (try the pear salad, the encrusted grouper or the short ribs). Great service (thanks, Chris "Kringle" Grundel). And everything is beautifully presented, a palate of colors. Warning: make a reservation for dinner. We were very glad we did, otherwise the wait on a Friday night is hours.

Very solid meal, desserts are made in house and were over the top. The service was really great, ask for Christopher Columbus to wait on you. He was great with our kids.

The restaurant is located just off the main road in Siesta Key, Sarasota. There is adequate parking in the lot and on the street. A rarity in season. Even though it was busy and we had no reservation we could get seated immediately on the covered patio. That was a good thing. The interior is NOISY. I would not eat... More
