I do not eat hot dogs nor onion rings, but I am craving both of these since having them with friends while on vacation to Sanibel Island. We went there everyday while we were on vacation.

Awesome place. Loved it! These hot dogs have the "snap" when you bite them. They grill the dogs and we also got kielbasa that was also grilled. They do sell ice cream there but we didn't get any. No real room there to sit though. A couple picnic tables outside and a counter inside and that is it. There is... More

Pros: • The wife enjoyed her "original schnapper". • The kids enjoyed their " Little Max" meals. • The fries were excellent. Cons: • Avoid the chilli dog at all costs. Most of it was OK but the chilli was how I imagine warm dog food to be like. • The staff know that ravens/crows raid the bin by the... More

Always our first stop upon arrival. Absolute best hot dogs, fries! Nicest people, cutest place on the island. I will dream about it until next year.

Sometimes you don't want swordfish, grouper or Mahi Mahi for lunch. You just want a hot dog. This is the place to satisfy that urge. Great chili dogs and other hot dogs. They have other food items as well but really folks this is the place to go to satisfy your craving for a hot dog.

We had a quick lunch at Schnapper's when we arrived on Sanibel. We had a fish sandwich and a bratwurst. More bread than fish or bratwurst. Mediocre.

We had a bit of Sanibel sticker shock after ordering a fish sandwich, two burgers , fries, a grilled cheese and four shakes.$50! The food was really good and so were the shakes , but dang! At almost six dollars a shake it ought have alcohol in it! Oh well, the atmosphere was fun and the food was good. Hub... More

This place is an island favorite. Their lines are sometimes long, but the fries, onion rings, and ice cream are really special and worth the wait!

I actually love this place. It is exactly what it intends to be--no more and no less. If you've been on a kayak or canoe or a bike or even the beach all morning, this is a great place to stop for lunch. You can get extraordinarily messy, but they make great hotdogs. There's a vast selection of choices, but... More
