This was probably my kids' favorite restaurant from our week stay on Sanibel Island. There were many breakfast options but if you are a vegetarian, the selection is limited. The cafe is full of pictures from lighthouses around the country and has a huge gift shop to entertain yourself while waiting for your food. We rode bikes here since bike... More

We were able to eat breakfast during lunch. They offer freshly squeezed juices, we had the orange and the grapefruit and they were so refreshing! Service was quick. Definitely a must stop if you enjoy yummy breakfast options.

The Lighthouse Cafe had be recommended to us as a Must Eat at restaurant. Of all the places I ate while in Ft Myers, Sanibel Island this was my least favorite. First thing I didn't like was how crowded the seating area was. That was just a matter of bad timing for it because a table for two opened up... More

Pretty standard breakfast place that offers everything under the sun. Kids had pancakes they liked and I had an omelette. All very solid. Service was fast and very friendly. Be prepared to wait a bit as it is very busy.

What a great local little find. Exactly what you're looking for in the morning. Just a little hole in the wall cafe with good coffee and breakfast fare, and plenty of personality to boot!

We ate here for breakfast. In my opinion the food was ok, not the best I ordered eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was a little watery and tangy for my taste. The potatoes had onions, which I did not know about so I did not like that There was no air conditioning, my husband was very hot. When he... More

Stopped by after seeing the reviews. I had the Malted Hotcakes with a poached egg. The Hotcakes were very tasty and filling. My wife had a Belgian Waffles that looked great. Highly recommended for a breakfast.

Stopped in for breakfast on our bike ride to the lighthouse. 45 minute wait 😳... but worth the wait! I had the goat cheese/spinach omelette... others had eggs Benedict and seafood eggs Benedict... food was great. Restaurant was hopping. Had a lively (often loud) vibe... but energetic. Lots of photos of lighthouses around the USA. Would stop in again!

Best Calamari I've had in some time: Seasoned lightly, and tender! Lighthouse Cafe was open for dinner when we were visiting Sanibel Island during spring break. Busy place! Also had the raspberry creme brulee: what a great combination of my favorite tastes. Hope to make it back some time to try their breakfasts.

They advertise that they have the "Worlds Best Breakfast" and they are right. I have always found that you can judge a restaurant by looking at the parking lot and finding out how long the wait time is. We arrived at 9:30 am on a Tuesday and the parking lot was almost full and the wait time was 1 hour.... More
