Let me just preface this review and say that Matzaluna was my favorite restaurant on the island and I was devastated when I heard they closed. We gave Tutti Pazzi a shot on our honeymoon this week and we were not disappointed! I would give 5 stars, but were told when we walked in that it would only be 5 min for a table, but ended up waiting almost 15 (and didn’t even get a table after seeing several booths open). We were approached by Chris the bartender while we were waiting and decided to spend the evening there! What a great decision it was to sit at the bar. Staff was friendly, but typical for covid times they are overworked and stretched very thin, so patience is key. I will agree with prior reviews about the bread, it needed that old Matzaluna garlic spread and some oil, but the olives were super yummy! We shared the stuffed mushrooms in lemon aioli for our appetizer per Chris’s recommendation and we loved it! I got Cacio e Pepe and my husband got eggplant Parm. The portions on the Parm were HUGE and I thought everything had flavor as did my hubs. Not sure where some of these people are trying to compare it to NY?? This is Sanibel folks, not downtown Manhattan. So expecting this kind of quality is unfair 😒 Per another recommendation from Chris we shared the drunken berries for dessert and loved the flavor! Chris also gave some good recs to my husband for a good scotch as well (which he loved). Overall we were super satisfied with our visit. They’re a new business and I hope they get their bearings once busy season concludes! We will be back😊

Fantastic food, happy friendly helpful staff, perfect surroundings and atmosphere

While on holiday in sanibel we found this restaurant and was not disappointed, I visit sanibel regularly and this is my first visit. From the moment you walk in the atmosphere is friendly fun and the staff really know their stuff and willing to advise on anything on the menu. The Barman was also very knowledgeable about wine. The food was amazing and lots of choice. I will be back very soon to try out some more of their delicious Fayre.

Delicious Italian Food PERIOD

Tutti Pazzi is THE place to visit if you’re looking for great Italian cuisine with a funky atmosphere . Scrumptious warm buns arrive at your table as you glance over the menu. It’s hard to decide with one mouthwatering choice after another. The fried artichoke was a uniquely delicious appetizer. The pasta dishes all had the “yum factor”. The brick oven pizza was also a hit. The proud owners, Leanna and Pasquale even sat with us for a bit. The bar area seemed like a great place for those who want to chill. Not “Tutti Pazzi” (all crazy) for this place

In English, tutti pazzi means “all crazy”. On the good side of this review, the restaurant was organized and efficient. The hostess (greeter)and waitstaff were professional and courteous. The decor was lovely and the tables, walls, floor, and restrooms were clean! On the bad side of this review, if you are looking for a little taste of Italy, then you won’t find it here. The food, unfortunately, was bland and didn't even lend a hint to any Italian seasonings/flavors that I’m familiar with. The bread (rolls) were dry and tasteless. I was longing for Italian food and was hoping that this new restaurant would be my new go-to place for some hearty food. The Insalata Mista and Vegetable Napoleon were the two best dishes of the evening because they actually had some flavor to them and were fresh and beautifully presented. I suggest that the owners visit some Italian restaurants in NY and Italy to get a feel for real Italian food. A little Italian music or Sinatra playing in the background with bottles of red wine scattered throughout the restaurant would at least bring the island customers into “Italy” for a couple of hours where they can “mangia” and forget their cares.

Shrimp appetizer was overcooked and rubbery. Forgot to bring the salad and bread. Pasta entree was small and bland. An Italian restaurant that does not serve angel hair pasta! Will not go back.

Really enjoyed our meal! Authentic Italian cuisine, not over seasoned, fresh, delicious and staff very warm and attentive. Plus Chris at the bar is amazing. We came in to see him as he’s missed where he used to work. Check this place out.

Good Italian on the island

This is not “The Olive Garden” this is a real Italian restaurant where you can tell that the new owners are taking pride in offering good fresh food. We wanted a good Italian food and after thinking about going off island to Fort Myers or even Naples to find a good Italian restaurant we decided to give Tutti Pazzi a try and we are happy with our choice. The service was friendly and helpful and while the wine list was not long what was offered appeared to be all good choices, we went with a delicious Barolo which the waitress decanted for us and after letting it breathe it did not disappoint. My wife enjoyed the artichoke appetizer and I had wonderful crab stuffed mushrooms, for the next corse we both had lovely caprice salads, for the main the kitchen made my wife a special pasta to order which while not on the menu they were happy to prepare just as my wife requested and I had perfect Spaghetti Carbonara. To top off a great meal we shared Salted Caramel Gelato which was flown in from New York. All in all a great meal. This is not the fanciest restaurant on the island but it is a cut above the standard fare, we saw a number of families enjoying themselves as well as young cupules out for a date. I noticed that pizza looked good and one can’t miss the real wood fired oven that they are cooked in. We will be returning again to enjoy a tasty meal in the future.

Tutti Pazzi should be everyone’s must visit restaurant when visiting Sanibel

We have visited Sanibel/ Captiva for many vacations and we dine out 80% of the time but without a doubt I give Tutti Pazzi Italian Restaurant my highest rating! There are no sunset views but the restaurant has just had a makeover with many windows and nestled amongst a palm tree setting. Tutti Pazzi has an open kitchen, lively bar with beautiful and comfortable booths and tables. Besides this great ambiance, the main attraction is the menu! There were no take home boxes for us as the food was exquisite to the last bite. I had the Chicken Francais, which was by far the best meal I had on this trip. What was amazing was that the breaded chicken seemed to come right from the skillet to the table. Extremely hot but oh so tender. The lemon butter sauce was the best I have ever had and complimented the chicken perfectly. Our party of five all had incredible meals. And last, what separates this establishment from ALL the others is the staff. Ray, our server, gave us perfect service from beginning to end and I mean end as she was running though the parking lot to return my daughters favorite sweatshirt that was left behind. Meliss, the General Manager, and Pascua, the owner all made time to say hello and make sure we had a great experience. We usually don’t visit the same restaurant twice on the same vacation but this year we are making an exception. Great value too

We used to come to this location before it was changed to Tutti Pazzi, and we had stopped eating at the former restaurant a couple of years ago as pretty much everything deteriorated: food quality, cleanliness, and price. So we entered Tutti Pazzi tonight as skeptics. What a great decision we made! Our server, Joseph C., was an absolute delight. He knew the menu, made suggestions, checked on us regularly and made the whole experience a winner. The food was outstanding, and the prices were appropriate. We came at Happy Hour, but ordered full menu items. The place has been updated and seems more open than before. We definitely will be coming back. We expect that once the word gets out, there will be a line to be seated, so skip the sunset one night and do yourself an epicurean favor!

Authentic and Delicious! Tutti Pazzi

We had an excellent dinner at Tutti Pazi recently. Having dined at Matzaluna many times we were pleasantly surprised by the change, it was a nicer and a more authentic Italian meal. The restaurant has had a decor change, it is stylish and beautiful. The waitstaff is extremely attentive and welcoming. The menu is expansive and everything is tempting. The portions are generous and came out quickly. Everything was delicious. We had an appetizer, soup, salad entrees and desert. We can recommend the ribeye and Snapper Francese as well as the cheesecake and Drunken Berries. I recommend Tutti pazi and an looking forward to coming back.

AMAZING!

We were very skeptical about a new restaurant taking over one of our favorite Italian restaurants on and off the island (Matza Luna) but decided to give it a shot… what a truly great experience it turned out to be! From the minute we sat down our awesome server Ray was welcoming, knowledgeable and so kind. From the Asiago gnocchi appetizer to the Ceasar salad and all our entrees were truly amazing! Made from fresh and quality ingredients, everything we had was delicious!!! Once we couldn’t eat another bite manager came over and she was so sweet. Our girls said how much they enjoyed the new restaurant and she brought them over their Nutella pizza and OMG you need to experience the Nutella pizza!!! Go by and and give Tutti Pazzi a try, they will not disappoint.

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Sanibel. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience with constant check-ins on how everything was and is doing. The food is absolutely amazing everything we tasted melted in our mouths. Absolutely the best meal we had while in Sanibel in a long time, I definitely recommend a trip to Tutti Pazzi.

We vacation in Sanibel at least once a year. We LOVE great food. Tutti Pazzi is a family run Italian restaurant and they have nailed it! From the fried gnocchi bites with house made marinara sauce to the arugula and prosciutto pizza - SO GOOD! The house made tiramisu was the best I’ve ever had…. And I’ve tried a lot of them. Anthony was our waiter and we could tell he had a passion for food and cooking.

Tutti Pazzi is a must visit to anyone visiting Sanibel!

Everything we had was extremely good, I had the Chicken Parmesan and it was prepared how it should be. Nice and crispy light breading with amazing homemade marinara and delicious fresh mozzarella. Very tasty! My mom had the bolognese which was nice and clean tasting and very flavorful with fresh vegetables and delicious homemade sausage. Both entrees were delicious! My mom also enjoyed a lemon drop cocktail which also was very good and flavorful. For dessert we enjoyed the chocolate and vanilla gelato dessert which also was an absolute treat! Our waitress Allison was very knowledgeable and helpful in guiding our decisions and answering any questions we had and was very pleasant to have. In all our experience was awesome to say the least and we will definitely be back again! A must visit to anyone visiting Sanibel!

Hidden Gem!!

Amazing!!!!! We went expecting a nice dinner but were blown away! The owners are so welcoming and really care about making sure you have a phenomenal experience. And we did! Starting at the bar, the espresso martini was delish. We started dinner with the stuffed mushrooms, carne mi amore pizza and the meatballs. They were all outrageous! Everything is freshly made and it is obvious. The meatballs were on a bed of polenta and fabulous. It was such a great pairing. Their tomato sauce is to die for. We wanted to try two entrees but were too full so we decided on the shrimp with risotto and it, too, was scrumptious! We ended with a tartufo on steroids! The flavors of the chocolate and vanilla gelato was so rich and creamy...not like a regular tartufo we are all familiar with. All of the ingredients, we learned, were imported from Italy. We also had the best Italin cheesecake I ever had. It was light and airy with a fantastic flavor. The tiramisu was incredible as well! I am visiting from NY and expected an average meal...but not from these native New Yorkers! Hidden gem! Worth the trip to Sanibel Island from wherever you are. Don't hesitate! Get to Tutti Pazzi as soon as you can! You will. It be disappointed!
