Went for breakfast/brunch on a Saturday morning. Started with excellent Beignets, great shrimp and fried green tomato Benedict and a spicy omelette. FYI, one has to go through a guard gate for the gated community to get to the restaurant on the water in the...More

Sunset Bay Cafe was not hard to find as others here have suggested. It did require checking through a guarded vehicle gate, but once through there are signs once one nears the restaurant. The cafe has indoor and outdoor seating, and the outdoor seating is...More

Began with the peach mimosa which was yummy. Then one of us had the Spicy Pig omelette and I had the Sunset Bay Omelette. Both were excellent. This place is hard to find but worth it!!!

Walking distance from the older Sandestin neighborhoods and no waiting in line like over at Baytowne. Sit outside by the pool overlooking Chocktawhatchee Bay. Service is attentive and breakfast is good at moderate prices.

We had brunch here while in San Destin. We will definitely return. Views were amazing, food was great- they even had gluten free options! Service was outstanding. Its a must visit for us whenever we visit the area.

We were looking for a nice breakfast place with an open-water view. Boy did this place deliver! Great food and a lovely bay prospect. We liked enough the first time that we went back the next day, despite the alternatives.

I cannot understand the great reviews here. I usually trust the advice I receive here. First, "on the water" means set way back in the corner by the pool. Sure, you can see the bay, but you are sitting directly by the pool. Second, the...More

We were seated almost immediately and our server came by shortly thereafter. Our food was plentiful and delicious, our server was very personable and attentive. This was one of the best brunches we’ve ever had and we will recommend to anyone visiting the area!

I'm not positive, but I think they prepare take out. Since you have to call to order, you can just make that request. It has a lovely view, so it's a great place to dine on the premises.

With Nearly two decades of restaurant management and menu development experience, Bryce Jarvis knows what a customer expects from a resort restaurant. "I'm passionate about providing a great experience for our customer, and the Sunset Bay Cafe gives me the opportunity to share what I love best about food and Destin, Sandestin, The Beaches of South Walton, and the Emerald Coast with both visitors and locals alike." The Sunset Bay Cafe space has been a number of different restaurants over the years, but Bryce, and his co-owner Gary Jarvis, feel the location needs a locals touch to really make the most out of the views and the ingredients available to the kitchen. As captain of The Backdown 2, Captain Jarvis lends an expert's eye to local and sustainable seafood and fresh ingredients. "Our menu really focuses on the best ingredients available every season, " he says. In addition to classic breakfast favorites like pancakes and waffles, diners will be able to taste some really innovative twists on classics, like Roast Beef Benedict and a fish of the day. Located near the Linkside Conference Center, the restaurant overlooks Choctawhatchee Bay and offers a full bar, outside dining options, a Tiki bar, and "grab and go" options, perfect for the golf course, the pool, or the beach. Holy Cakes, an award winning bakery owned by Bryce's wife Miranda, provides an assortment of muffins and cupcakes daily, and social orders by request. The Sunset Bay Cafe celebrates the spirit of "Old Florida" while encouraging innovative cooking emphasizing fresh, local ingredients.
