We stopped here on a whim and were delighted with the meal. The smoked fish was very good as were the sides. Was interesting to hear the story of the place being on Diners, Driveins, and Dives. Try the fish spread it was delish!

My mouth starts to water as I drive into the parking lot. The quality of their fish spread and smoked fish Is consistant. The only negative is that the service is not always the friendliest.

You'll have to search diligently to find better smoked fish-get the mackerel if it's available-and the German potato salad is excellent. That having been said, check the price before ordering. $$$$

The place has a lot of old-school charm...the menu is limited...the fresh fish is about all I would order, it is usually tasty and it is on the inexpensive side, the people are nice...but...I don't think the fish-spread (which it is supposed to be famous for) is very good. Being a local, there's much better fish-spread all over the beach.... More

On our yearly visit to St Pete Beach we make it a must to eat at Ted Peter's. They are famous for their smoked fish and my wife enjoys their smoked fish spread. I generally get a smoked mullet luncheon, but this time I got a bowl of NE clam chowder and a hamburger. Believe it or not they serve,... More

For some reason I have loved the cheeseburgers here since I was a kid. The potato salad is also really good. I don't eat seafood but they are known for their smoked fish. However, through the years the service has really gone downhill. Also, pets are not welcome at the tables outside, which is rare for the area.

Absolutely delicious food. Their smoked mullet , mackeral, salmon and mahi mahi are some moist and delicious and served warm. They even have excellent cheeseburgers and German potato salad. A must stop for those visiting the area. But bring cash - no charges allowed.

My daughter's godfather insisted that we find this "hole-in-the wall" place to try the fish dip. (We make it a point to try the fish dip where ever we travel.). It was delicious, reasonably priced, and we even bought a t-shirt! Non-assuming, but worth the drive. Get a smoked piece of fish to snack on -- you won't be sorry!

First, the main 'attraction' is smoked mullet. Wow. Smoked bait fish. Pricey for what it was and not worth it - btw I love smoked fish but this was sub par. Second, the servers seem to be trained that since this is Ted Peters, we should be honored to be there and the service will happen when it happens. Next... More

Mullet is my favorite but love the salmon and the mackerel too. Usually go to the take out - usually busy. Hate the attitude of the servers. Not friendly, not helpful and basically rude. One guy acted like he is doing me a favor by selling me the fish. The area to eat was much friendlier servers, but we like... More
