We were looking for a place for lunch before a meeting in Sarasota and found the Mad Fish. This is a typical bar/restaurant with good food. We had a fish sandwich was was delicious excellent. It is bear I-75.

This was our third dinner at Mad Fish, and as usual, the quality, service, and choices were excellent. But this time, 2 new (to us) items were especially memorable: Mashed potatoes infused with garlic and rosemary and a warm goat cheese spread topped with carmelized onions atop airy crostini. Delicious!

Dined at the Mad Fish this evening after reading an article about Chef Oliver and he certainly did not disappoint. Succulent scallops as an appetizer and some of the best swordfish I have ever tasted. Husband had mussels and Chilean Sea Bass. Both delicious! We ended our meal with The best crime brûlée. I have been living in St. Pete... More

I really enjoyed this restaurant during my visit to St Petersburg. The best restaurant around! We could walk to the restaurant very easily from our hotel. We visited the restaurant twice while in St Petersburg...the first night the service was amazing...the second night the service was not as good however the food was amazing! WE would visit this place again... More

Mad Fish has a 50s diner feel, but serves classic and delicious dishes. With a knowledgeable and friendly staff, you'll be impressed and delighted. They also have a prime wine list.

Although it looks like a high class diner from the outside, the meals we had at Mad Fish were fresh, inventive, and suprising in a very good way. Rather pricey, but well worth the investment.

I had the bacon wrapped double filet mignon with lump oscar crab. They even offer your meat to be ordered less than rare. Everything was delicious. Great selection of wines. If you sit outside it is really pretty with tall fire heaters and a jazz trumpeter playing. Really loved everything about this place.

We had a wonderful dinner last night. The food was very delicious and I can understand why the reviews are so good. I had the rib eye steak. I have just returned from Argentina and the Mad Fish steak was right at the top that we had in Mendoza and Cordoba.. Two others had lobster covered grouper and another had... More

We went to MadFish after getting several recommendations. We were greeted by our waiter ,Paul, who was very friendly. We ordered the Drunken Shrimp which was delicious. The sauce was so good and having the Cuban bread to dunk in the sauce was great. We split the Lobster Crusted Grouper which was not as memorable. There was a lot of... More
