Decided try this place for breakfast based on ta reviews. I liked it--eclectic, local place. My husband got sausage & scrambled eggs with potatoes, & he was happy with his choice. I got the chicken salad with side of cole slaw. Loved the slaw. Chicken salad was lil unusual--loved the pickles, but not crazy about it. Too different for my... More

My mom introduce me to this place for my birthday trip. It is not in the touristy part of St. Augustine, but it has a mom/pop feel to it. They are a small location and have a menu that is reasonable. They have everything from eggs and grits to French toast for breakfast. They have a great Cuban sandwich, that... More

My wife's favorite breakfast spot. Back in historic Lincolnville but very easy to find on MLK St. Turn at the post office and back about six blocks. Open at 8 but gets crowded very quickly. Everything hot and fresh. Eaten here 30 times and never got a bad breakfast.

Enjoyed blue crab quiche with sweet potato home fries. Hugs, crusty biscuit that was soft inside - served with honey or jam. Coffee was not strong, bitter or weak - just right. You can enjoy a mimosa, too is you like. Simple, precise breakfast menu - not too many choices that keep you guessing what you should order. Next time,... More

Soooooo good!!! Large portions of breakfast done right. I had the crab quiche. It came with a side of home fries and a biscuit with their peach butter. It was too much to finish and all of it was delicious. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy and a breakfast sandwich. The place was clean and service was very friendly.... More

We were fortunate enough to spend a week in the historic Lincolnville neighborhood, so the Blue Hen Cafe was an easy walk from our house. There are often long lines for breakfast, but we had an early lunch there with no wait. The food was fresh and delicious! We especially enjoyed the crab soup and the conch fritters. Service was... amazing little restaurant in lincolnville. Probably some of the best southern food I've ever had. Breakfasts are my favorite, but you have to try the fried green tomato sandwich too! and they make a mean sangria.

My boss took me there for a late breakfast. I had the biscuits and gravy. It was just like my grandmother use to make. On another visit I had the B,L, fried green tomato sandwich. It is now my favorite sandwich. I love The Blue Hen Cafe.

We were hoping for espresso but despite not having it this was still a great place. Friendly service, light and airy.
